LMM Plays Tour Guide - Spring Break at the World

It was late, but we headed to Pinnochio's Village Haus with the idea that we'd watch Wishes from behind the castle. I remember watching them back there as a little kid, and they were shot right above our heads.

Well, perhaps it was the wind, or maybe things have just changed, but the fireworks were not above our heads, exactly, but behind the construction wall. Which was fine - we just had to run to readjust ourselves. It was also really confusing when they were shooting them off on both sides of you - sides of the castle and behind the castle. But it was so loud and awesome.

The little kids in Fantasyland at the time did not agree. Rachel pointed out that almost every young child was FLIPPING OUT! Screaming in terror - Dad picks them up - oh, no, Dad, get me out of the sky! Run for cover!!!  I will admit, they were very, very loud, and it would've been really scary if I didn't know what was going on or had a fear of loud noises. That's something to keep in mind, parents of young kids - you might want to avoid Fantasyland during Wishes because it's really loud!

That quick turn-around I was telling you about -

The finale is even brighter (and of course, louder) behind the castle!

We went to Frontierland to get Mom a pretzel.

We headed towards Main Street to do some shopping and pick up our hats.

LOVE this clock.

This is also probably frowned upon, but I was fascinated with the different animations you could purchase, and since the animator wasn't there, I flipped through the book and took photos of my favorites which maybe I can attempt myself.

It was our final morning at the Poly.

I took pictures of our ears lined up above the TV...

We were seated near the kitchen, which Rachel and Dad didn't mind because it meant easy access. The food was good - it's on par with Crystal Palace (but CP has better kids' selections). I like breakfast here a whole lot better than dinner.

This Mad Hatter was kind of weird... not as good as the old one. He'd just yell randomly and fight across the restaurant. He scared a lot of children with his random outbursts.

I'm not a fan of posing like the characters. Alice saw that we were all adults and rushed through us. Really - one quick picture and she was off. This girl was all business.

DSC_3004 by vshingl, on Flickr

Mary Poppins spent the most time with us of the face characters.

DSC_3005 by vshingl, on Flickr

Honestly, we prefer the characters that don't talk. Unless I have a little kid with me, I'm probably going to stick to booking character meals with silent friends.

Another thing - 1900 Park Fare's kids' plates are shaped like Mickey! I got them every time.

You can see the DVC construction from the window. How unattractive.

And the crane is behind the castle, as well. What a beautiful time to get married at WDW!

Now that they have destroyed the beach between the Grand Floridian and the Wedding Pavilion, apparently Disney plans to destroy the beach between the Wedding Pavilion and the Polynesian, as well. Boo!

I should've taken more photos... this may one day be extinct!
