LLMP and Late Park Arrival

My family are veteran Disney World goers, however we are new to the LLMP. While I think we have the basics of it pretty well in hand there is a question that has come up that I have not found an answer to.

We arrive in Orlando around 11:30 PM on the 6th and by the time we get luggage and drive it will be after midnight on the 7th when we check in at AKL. We do have park passes for every day, including the 7th. Normally we are rope droppers but we plan to sleep in that morning. Our question is, hypothetically, if we reserve a LLMP for 9-10 AM but we are still waking up/eating/en route to the parks and miss it (say we are on the buses at 10:15 in this example, not tapped into the park) would we be able to open the app and book another LLMP since the first one has now expired or would we have to wait until we are in the park?

Our LLMP date is coming up in just a few days and we are trying to decide if we take the gamble on an earlier one in case excitement has us up and ready to go earlier than we think or if we should just go ahead and schedule for later in the morning/early afternoon when we are sure that we will be up and ready to go. Thanks for any help!

You could try to modify your earlier LL to try to change it to a later time at the same attraction or a different attraction. An expired LL does not open the ability to choose a different LL.
