Llllllooong time no see! Birthday question

Righty ho- hello! Long time no see- i tend to chat with my diss friends on facebook these days!

we are off again in october- but this time for the first time it's actually in the school holidays so will be our first ever busy trip!! It is also our honeymoon- or Disneymoon! And milo will be turning 5 while we are there!!

If you were on a very tight budget ( as we are) what would you do and eat on your child's birthday in the park? We are driving again and staying at Davy cricket self catering- now we have done it once we won't go back I love staying there!!

I agree and if you can stretch to the £25 (i think it is for a cake) you get the cake brought out with the characters all singing happy birthday, so a great opportunity to also get pics.

That's what I and in mind too, sounds perfect! il see how he is with the meet and greats first before booking because he was very shy last time in which case he would hate it! Will take cake along in car anyhow thanks guys!!

Just a quick question - as we to want to do something for my DS who is 5 and were thinking Cafe Mickey with a cake sounded like a good idea.

Would you do lunch or dinner, does it make a difference and if so - what time?

Well i can only speak from my experience which was a 6pm evening booking. The food was fantastic, the place was really busy and when they brought the cake out, the whole placed stopped and all eyes were on us. My son loved it although he did bow his head in embarrassment.

With younger children I would always say the earlier the better but T 5 you might get away with later booking at least you don't have to leave the park in the day then

Cafe Mickey is in the Village area at DLP - its only 5 or 10 minutes walk from the gates of the main park, and its closer than that from the Studios park. I'd go for 6pm or even lunchtime for your birthday cake celebration there .

Yes it's out of e park at the top of the village not a huge walk but I don't like to leave the bubble of the actual park and e studios in the day- saying that the village still has a lovely feel to it! There are two main parks with a 4 min walk inbetween them- verybdifferentnfeel to each park - its just so lovely you will love it!
