LL Premier Pass is here!

If you have a deluxe reservation how soon can you buy the pass prior to your stay? (this is for next year)

You can buy 7 days in advance for up to 14 days of your trip!! That’s where a longer trip during peak time has an advantage to purchase a potentially sold out day. We check in 12/21 and check out 12/31. But staying deluxe at that price point is really expensive - almost 18k with 6 day tickets at Poly (excluding flights/transportation-free dining offer)

It's probably 45 minutes with PP vs 2-3 hours standby.
I have never waited that long for any one ride at Disney since 2005. But, I am very picking when we go, thus the shorter wait times. But I still think if one pays $400 plus for the PP, a 45 minute wait is absolutely not acceptable. But what do they do? And this is what I am wanting to see. What Disney will do about situations like this when they arise. And I do think it will come to pass at some point.

This is not apples to apples comparison. People flock to Disney on the holidays, one because the kids are out of school and they can get time away from work, and two, because people want to spend those holidays in the parks. This isn’t a new thing. Honestly it sounds like LLPP might be the only thing making it tolerable on those days if you want anything more than the atmosphere of being there. People still choose to go knowing it will be packed to the gills/at capacity.

I agree. When we went during Christmas we did what we could book via Genie+ and that was it. The 2-3 hour waits in the hot sun are not worth a 2 min ride (for us).

I do believe prices will increase for the holidays after the trial period if they’re currently selling out at that price point during a limited release (only deluxe guests).

That's the thing with us, I pulled my kids out of school every single time. They are now out and done with the regular school period of thier lives and both are now in college/trade school. I don't regret at all putting Disney(vacation time) above their education.

I am still not seeing 100% confirmed reports of being able to purchase it for two days with only a one night reservation at WDW. I think I
read that it was possible to do so at DL. But I could be wrong. I am just really curious about this fact.
DL doesn’t require any resort stay to purchase LLPP, unlike WDW.

We did this when our now teen was in elementary/middle school. With high school+AP & honors courses we just can’t anymore. I’m convinced all those trips helped her with creativity and mental math.

Oh ok. Didn't realize that. Man, I am Disney vet and all this is still confusing.🤪🤪
I didn’t realize that either. DL has a lot of passholders vs day guests that buy LLMP (more availability). It was easier to book next available the day of. We don’t stay onsite at DL and still did all the rides we wanted in 3 days.

Disneyland only has 3 on resort property hotels so tying things to on site hotels is usually pretty limited there, they don't have the hotel capacity like WDW has. It is definitely a locals park but even for non-locals you don't really have much options if you want to stay on property being so land locked that they are.

What can they do? If the standby lines are 3h and LLPP is 45m it's still a huge win. VIP tour groups I'm assuming would have the same issue (and they are paying way more). If "what will Disney do" means how will people be monetarily compensated....I'd assume they won't be (nor should they be).

Have you ever heard of VIP tours waiting 45 minutes before? I haven't, but it may have happened. But after about two encounters with a 45 minute wait while on a VIP tour, I would ask to get money back!
