LL Premier Pass is here!

I prefer virtual grabbing versus running all over the park grabbing (same with DAS - was also a pain to have to go all the way to the ride to get a return time). Much easier to grab online then not head over to the areas until it’s time to ride.
I loved the paper fast-passes!! You would go at RD....ride the ride....get off that ride....get the paper pass for that ride again...to ride it later in the evening! We were able to utilize those passes for 3 years of our trips and my son/husband still talk about how much fun that was---I would have up to 10 passes for evening rides! Those were the days! Best of all....Free!!

I'm clearly not the target for LMPP but if they would allow re-rides it would be a game changer for me. I would need to re-evaluate how I do Disney...
Yes it would seem logical but it would make the process unmanageable for Disney to scale the LLPP offering since they would have no way to manage your random possible re-ride times.

A quick example: if hundreds of LLPP guests (initial ride and re-ride guests) all want to ride an attraction at the same time as you, this would make the LL lane backup and massively slow down the LL Queue and the Standby Queue.

^^ I agree. IF they allowed re-rides then I could see the capacity of popular rides totally taken up by those who bought this pricey new option and do those rides multiple times in one day. That would likely make it unworkable for anyone else thinking they could wait in the regular line to ride.

I know,,, but I'm gonna use the argument I hate to see... Universal is able to manage it. ;-)
And yes we're not talking the same level of crowd...
It's honestly the only thing I miss from the "old" FP+ days... the re-rides.

I'll probably never purchase it, but I would be more inclined to consider it is if it were more in line with Universal's Express Pass. Another thing that might get me to consider is if I only had a limited amount of time in say HS on a specific day and wanted to hit all the heavy hitters.

So for instance, my trip next week - my airport shuttle is picking me up at 1:55 and that's the day I'm going to HS. I'm not purchasing LLMP because my preferred Tier 1 choice wasn't available until later in the day. So my plan is to hop over there on my EP day for a few hours towards the end of the night (AP holder) and knock a few things out (hoping to hit Rise and SDD then) so that I can prioritize my day in HS more efficiently. If I had the opportunity to purchase LLPP at the right price (which I don't because I'm staying at a value resort), I might think about it.

Well then you can't use that argument unless you only want to limit LLPP to for example 2 Deluxe resorts and/or limit the total number of LLPP purchases per day. Then you would be able to make that argument with confidence that is was similar.

I'm just glad that LLPP didn't fully replace LLMP. Seems like a bad value compared to using LLMP + LLSP from a straight cost per ride perspective.

A ride on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, for example, could be $11 using Lightning Lane Single Pass. But it turns into slightly over $18/ride if I'm buying Lightning Lane Premier on its cheapest day (dividing the cost of LLPP by the total number of LL experiences at MK), and that's not only for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train obviously. There's no way I would ever pay $18 to ride Winnie the Pooh, or Peter Pan, or Buzz Lightyear, etc. The only ride it does appear to give a little discount on is Tron.

Anyway, It's a very specific product for a very specific scenario and I'm not bothered by it. I will say that if I'm ever paying a price like that I would expect it would be an Unlimited type of pass, having zero restrictions on how many times you can ride/experience any given Lightning Lane attraction. I personally would probably just ride Cosmic Rewind all day long :D

While a PP user may be paying more per ride, one could argue that they are ultimately getting a better value out of their base ticket than someone who just pays admission but ends up standing in line all day. A few summers ago I took my eldest to Universal Hollywood for one day, and paid for early admission and the one-use express pass, because we were only there for one day. By the end of the day, we had ridden everything including the Mario ride, did the Mario games and ate in the new cafe. Our friend got to the park at around 10:30 and didn't have express. She waited hours to ride only two rides. Yes we paid a lot more, but we ultimately got a lot more value out of our ticket than she did.

Oh For sure! Like I said, it's a very specific product for a very specific use case, in which your scenario would absolutely apply to that.

I guess my main point was that it's a better value per ride if one were to get Multi-Pass + Single Pass as opposed to buying Premier pass. Granted, you aren't able to necessarily get a Lightning Lane for every single ride in that case, but skipping at the very least 4 or 5 rides (since Magic Kingdom has 2 Single-Pass rides) is a good start. I'm glad that Premier pass exists for those who want to ride every single Lightning Lane in one day. :-)

I do wonder if some might opt to do less park days on a visit and pay for LLPP. It isn't the same money, but gets more out of the days you are in the park.

In past we have always done multiple MK and HS days on a week long trip and went to a park every day. Could now do a couple resort days and still get everything done in those two parks.

This is my memory of the paper FPs 🤣🤣. Rushing to TSMM, maybe that’s why I don’t have fond memories of it. Was like running with the masses.
LOL, one time I was so worn out from running to get the paper FP's (and must have looked bad too), that the lady at the fp machines gave me 2 for each of us. I must have looked like death warmed over with wheezing and trying to breath,, LOL. And that was when I was much younger and fitter.

This is our exact plan. The cost is still sticker shock but we’re cutting two days off our tickets and replacing with one party night and DHS LLPP so we can combine it with AK (and AK has nightly EH that night). We’re also cutting back on one night hotel stay by cutting out that extra day so the cost is “almost” a wash and we get to start our beach portion earlier.

Sometimes I have more time than money but I’m excited to see what this does to our overall experience too

Just a reminder to all members following this thread. Lightning Lane Premier Pass starts tomorrow, October 30th at WDW. Stay tuned for updates.

Dave

Thanks!

I sure wish we were allowed to purchase now for our upcoming trip (WDW) if we already know we want it for one of our days. I have to have two plans ready to go 7 days out - one for if we can get the pass and one for if we have to just do LLMP.

Yes, first world problems!

As this progresses through the weeks ahead, I can't wait to see if this sells out (and if so, how quickly).
