Hello All,
Well today we're back to finish up MGM.
I must tell you that I so look forward to waking up every morning and looking out the balcony. Today I had 2 giraffe, 4 zebras and some ankole cattle, just hanging out right in front of the balcony. I can't imagine staying at AKL and not getting a savannah view. My little guys are hooked on sitting on the balcony and having their cereal (and yes, I've been very careful not to let any fruit loops fall off the balcony).
We went up to the lounge today and brought back breakfast to the room to watch the animals. How great is that. I tell you, I don't know if I'll ever be able to not do concierge after this trip. We are so spoiled. It is so great to be greated by happy people every morning. The staff up in Kilimanjaro is just so sweet. And you kind of make friends with the other concierge guests. It is truly cool.
I wanted to get back to MGM today and see a couple of things we missed the other day. Dylan (4) is dying to see Indiana Jones. I wasn't sure if we could do a whole day here, and I was right.
MGM is a great park. I really love it, but, aside from shows, there isn't much the little ones can do. Most of the rides are height restricted and Dylan was just shy of the 40" requirement.
So, we decided to head back over to heaven (the Magic Kingdom) and finish off the day there. The teens grumbled a little, but we told them they could go off together and didn't have to stick with us (I think I heard a "Thank God", but was a better person and let it go).
I think the MIL isn't fond of the MK, but too bad. Zachary slept most of the other day and I wanted to make sure he rode all the rides in FantasyLand.
And you'd better believe he did. He loved everything today. He must have had some 24 hour bug. He is back to normal. See it wasn't my putting him in the pool that made him sick. JEEZ!!!
We had lunch at Cosmic Rays. I happen to love this place. The chicken strips meal is great and the kids love the robbot singer they have performing. It's a great place to cool off. Whew, another 93 degree day.
One of the cutest things we stumbled upon was "Belle's Storytelling". There is a little garden tucked away, and Belle, tells the story of her and the beast. They dress up kids from the audience and they participate. It was really cute. I'm glad we stopped in for it.
We then spent some time at Mickey's Toon Town. Did some of the rides there and waited for pictures with Cinderella. I never knew that in the Country Barn, you could have your pictures taken with Cinderella and her mouse, or, Pooh and Friends, or Mickey and Goofy.
Did some shopping on the way out.
We left around 6:00 (park closes at 7:00)
Dinner at Mara and swimming at the pool.
Tomorrow is our resort day. No parks, just hanging at AKL.
