Lizzie McGuire TV Show Question

I figured this was prob. the best place to post this. If not, please feel free to move it, moderators!

OK, it's been awhile since DS and I have watched Lizzie McGuire on tv ... but we started watching it again over the summer. However, we missed something ... where is Miranda? They mention that she's on vacation. But, in real life, what happened to the actress, LaLaine, who played Miranda? Did she quit? Did they fire her? Will she come back?

If she left the show, I haven't seen her in anything (even those great Disney tv movies).

We miss seeing her ... she added so much fun to the show! If anyone has any info., we'd appreciate it!

Well, these are some of the stories going around on the fan sites....

1. She was only in every episode on the first season ... by the second season she started missing taping of shows and become a recurring character

2. Before the last season went into production she signed on to do the Disney Channel movie You Wish, this movie had scheduling conflicts with the Lizzie production. Therefore she was let go from the last season early to work on the movie.

3. She was becoming more popular then Hilary and was fired

Personally I think #2 is what ended up happening...

Presently, Lalaine has a CD out which you can purchase on her website (personally I think her voice is a tad better then Hilary's)...

You can also find her singing on the You Wish soundtrack ...

She has been at a couple of the Radio Disney concert events in California (2003)...

Her next concert is on Aug. 28 in Bakersfield, CA....

In her journal (July 28,2004) she said she was currently working on some commentary for the Lizzie McGuire DVD box set of season one which will be released later this year.
