Lizbro`s trip report day 2 tues 13th march
Cast Liz (31) gets a bit obsessed with planning
Stu (36) doesnt do planning
Mary (9) loves all things Minnie
Ezra (7) all round loony!!
Oscar (5) not sure if hes peter pan or a pirate?!!
We had a lazy start today as we were so tired from the previous days exploits and made it down to breakfast by about 10am, one of the bonuses for the DLH is that as well as the official photo point in the restaurant area there are normally at least 3 other characters just milling about in the area so before we could even get to the breakfast queue we had to get all the autographs!! They got tigger, stitch and then the official Pinocchio before we could go to eat!!
Breakfast was an easy affair of being led to your seat and then a normal buffet of croissants, bread rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, hot chocolate, toast from the worlds slowest toaster!! You didnt serve your own hot drinks so we only ever got one coffee in the morning (thank god for the travel kettle!!)
Today was the studios so after some silliness on the way
we made it in, I had a few must do`s for this trip so off to animagique first to which we heard the first of many I dont like it, its dark, its scary from my littlest who had suddenly remembered lots from the year before and had decided he wasnt going to go on or watch anything that involved going indoors!!!!!!! so being kind parents we took him in and talked him through it until it started and then he was fine typical and I loved it ,as we came out there were a few characters around but we had no chance of getting near them so we headed off for the narnia photo point with all intentions off getting a picture but the talking bin appeared and everything else was forgotten as we were giggling too much at that ,it was getting near parade time so we went off to the monsters inc photo point
before finding a spot and managed to watch the parade without incident in fact a family who I had cursed as they had camped out almost with bags and coats taking up loads of room as soon as the parade music started they stood up and ushered my kids through to the front therefore making me feel really bad for all the glares I had been giving them-whoops!(although nothing near that kindness happened again all week!)
We decided to head through to the park as we were going to do the tram tour but the queue was pretty big so thought it could wait for another day, in to the park and realised we were pretty hungry so Caseys corner it was, we all had hotdogs and chips although my dh wanted a cheese one and was nearly sick!! Not so much cheese but hotdog covered in yellow synthetic cheese flavoured goo-yuck! On my middle sons request it was off to pirates to look for captain jack who wasnt around but we went on anyway, a total walk on but as we got to the boat the Oscar (little one) pipes up its dark, I dont want to you get the idea so with me holding him I step onto the boat and step off the other side!! Once the others were off Ezra (middle one) says he wants to go back on so me and him troop round and walk straight back on again, I almost had to drag him out of there as he could see there was still no queue and wanted to go back again!
We wandered over to Big thunder and Ezra decided he really wanted to go on this (hes only 7 and normally easily scared) I tried to persuade him out of it but he was insistent so dh and ds went off to the fast pass entrance which was also a walk on and I think dh was more scared than ds ,they came off whooping triumphantly and swaggered for a bit calling us wooses which made dd decide she was going to go on it before the end of the week, this is where it all goes to pot as I forgot to make any more notes but I think mostly the rest of the afternoon was spent wandering around shop browsing and I did pop into city hall to ask id the princesses were going to be out for signing and they said they are not out till the anniversary so I asked her whether you can buy their autographs anywhere to which she produced from a cupboard behind here a large sheet with all the autographs on ,my dd was pretty chuffed with that !! We did another round of small world before heading back to the hotel for a bit ,we had wanted to eat at Annettes but the queue looked pretty big so we went to the rainforest café and eventually got to the server who told us to some back at 9.10pm ,so we thought wed go back to Annettes and by then the queue had gone and we managed to get seated straight away ,we had 3 kids meals which were served on Frisbees so they could take them home with them , a rock n roll burger and an onion burger with 2 cappuccinos which were half a cup full!! Total was 68.40 ,half way through our meal the servers got up and got a few other diners up to dance to grease lightening which was good fun-still no roller skating waitresses though! Then we staggered back to hotel
