Livingston & Hackensack New Jersey...Things to do??

White Manna is the yummiest- but I second the person who said bring a change of clothing because it wills tink you up big time. Hackensack is our county seed and it is really not a great place if you don't know where you are going so there isn't a whole lot to do there. But the surrounding area will have all the malls (paramus park is the best with kids), Garden State the largest and Riverside the classiest. Van Saun park and the zoo there is great to kill some time. The children's museum in paramus is fun but can get very crowded.
Those who mentioned Rutts Hut are right on spot. Get a ripper and don't forget the onion rings- the best around. Hot Grill is also pretty good.
As for diners, I have never done the Ritz, - tick tock is very good. Enjoy all that Jersey has to offer. Oh- if you have some more time- LIberty Science Center is a great day trip as well.

Hey-- my 2 y.o. LOVES Short Hills! We drive by the parking garages and she says "That's where we go shopping!"

Guess I am raising a good little Jersey girl. :rotfl2:

LOL.. any mall with Valet parking is to rich for me:lmao: I stick with the Rockaway Mall.

OP I think it was already mentioned but the Turtle Back Zoo is right near Livingston. I have an annual pass and bring the kids every week when the weather is nice.
