Should this attraction be a FAST PASS anymore now that Soarin is at WDW?

IMO it is now a don't bother at all attraction now that they went to an automated commentary in the greenhouses.

When did they do this? Im pretty sure we had a person give a commentary of the greenhouses on our trip.... I think it is a neat relaxing boat ride! My fiancee enjoyed it!

The Land is still the wonderful attraction it always was and the line moves along quicker now.

I would like to see the Fastpass kept there for use during busy times. It's nice to be able to get one when the line is long. They can always be covered up and not used when attendance is slow.

The change was made in August or something. It's automated now so there can be more boats running.

It was changed late summer - DD and I rode the automated ride on 9/4. I liked the live commentation, but it is still an okay attraction. The line does move much quicker now - as my assumption is they can run more boats, since they don't have to have a CM in each one!

Now that it's automated, they can run all the boats and supposedly Fp is no longer needed. Before they couldn't get enough cast members to work as narrators and all the boats weren't used so FP was needed.

They use Fastpass only in the offseason but don't be surprised if it's completely removed soon.

Well, I dont think it should be FP anymore but I honestly like the automated version better.

The line does move more quickly because they're able to have more boats going through.

I'll say this, I think with the automated system, there is more information given than without it. Also, in the old system it was sometimes annoying if you had trouble understanding the guide. I really enjoyed this system and now enjoy the attraction more than I previously did.

The automated voice makes the attraction run MUCH smoother and it's actually not as bad as I thought it'd be. It's actually better, imo, because sometimes a CM standing up can be distracting.

we walked onto it on Sunday about 6:00, Soarin was a 90 min wait time! I loved the pumpkins that are "earning their ears"!

We love this attraction, even now that it is automated. I know it's not a "blockbuster" but it's a must-do for us. I would rather they keep fastpass personally, just in case the lines are long. I've seen it be 25-50 minutes.

When we were there in October, the FastPass machines were covered up. It was a five minute wait both days that we were in EPCOT. This was a slow week, though (Halloween week).

One of my favorite rides too. I love the greenhouses and wish they had a walkthrough section so I could linger as long as I wanted.
I also love the tour, especially when there aren't many people in the group.

I'm looking forward to riding the automated version in a few months, the last 2 trips we didn't get much out of it. One had a guy from Kenya speaking in what was supposed to be English but didn't quite make the cut. The other had a seemingly native born American named George who spoke through his nose instead of his mouth. We saw him on a later trip opening for the Muppets 3D show.

The first time I rode the automated ride, the rainforest and desert commentary was totally gone and we were stuck in the first area of the greenhouse not moving for almost 10 minutes. The second time the commentary was there but I barely heard it. The last time, the boat I was in didn't have commentary in the first greenhouse until we were just about to get to the fish area. The boat behind us had commentary, though. In my opinion, the new, automated ride is crap.
