Living Statues

Leaving for Disney in 2 days! YIPPEEE!

I have seen lots of pictures of the living statues in Epcot, but can someone please tell me where to find them?

I think it would be neat for my son to see how people can stand still that long! He can't sit still or lay still in his sleep!!!!

I don't think they are at EPCOT anymore. The last time we saw them was two years ago. I could be wrong, tho!

They're not at Epcot anymore. I read on another forum that Disney wanted to make the act exclusive to Disney but the director of the show wanted to be able to perform at others places. So the director decided not to renew the contract.

There are lots of other great entertainment around the World Showcase.

Some of my favorites are:
MoRockin in Morocco
Miyuki the candy artist in Japan
the acrobats in China
Serveur Amusant in France

You are correct Michelle, they are gone from Epcot. The story I was told is that they were a contract act and Disney wanted an exclusive but they wanted to be able to work elsewhere. They also wanted to have several troops of players so they could play in multiple locations at the same time. The last I heard they were at Busch Gardens Tampa.

i thought i had read somewhere on the boards a while back that the living statues were under contract for a while at epcot and are no longer there. what a shame because they were great!! i loved them too. the last time i saw them was about 5 years ago. when i was there last dec. and feb. they were not there, and as a matter of fact, WS did not have much of a variety of street performers. check the schedule when you get there. have a wonderful time with or without them--i'm jealous--will have to wait til october. have lots and lots of fun.

This might not be a living statue but my daughter and I saw this Huge Plant outside the Living Seas at Epcot this spring. I don't know the offical name but it was pretty cool to see this "Plant" moving so gracefully and they must have been 3 times my size. It was cool!

that must have been DiVine. cool, i though she just hung out in AK. i guess she could be a sea plant too.

We'll be next door to you at the All Star Music 4/29 thru 5/8. We'll have our 4yo grandson with us, maybe the kids can get together around the pool one day.

We have seen Living Statues at The Venetian in Las Vegas several times. I wonder if they are from the same group?

But we were in Epcot last week and they have a great performer in Italy.
He is called Sergio and here is info on him. This was from last week so check out the time he will be performing when you are there. He was really good and very enjoyable to watch. He got some people involved in his act.
