Yes, there used to be a ride, but I can't even remember where it was, they have redone so much of the pavillion. The addition of the Finding Nemo characters and especially the Turtle Talk with Crush more than make up for the lack of a ride.
Part of it was a ride. After you got out of the hydrolators, there used to be a continuous chain of cars (like Spaceship Earth) called "seacabs" that took you through a glass tunnel to the exhibit area. However, it wasn't very long (only about 3 minutes). This section of the attraction closed in late 2001.
I believeTurtle Talk opened aound Oct 5th (which is WDW's birthday). Also on that floor is a room with a big model of Bruce where you can learn all about sharks. My DD loved it! There is also a room with all of the real fish that the animated fish in Nemo were based on. There are also the huge aquariums and a gift shop.
I thought the "ride" portion was kinda cool, even though it didn't amount to much. It was just another facet of an attraction that offers a variety of elements.
