Living on a Budget

I've never tried living on a budget and am going to give it a try. Is $100 per week enough or too much for food and gas for the car for me and my teenage daughter?????

My husband and I budget for everything. I can't tell you the gas amount but food for the 2 of us is $75. a week. Gas would depend on where you live, distance you drive. But I don't think I spend more than $25. a week for my car. So the $100. sounds good.

save all your receipts for 2 or 3 weeks and then sit down and add them up to see what you spend.
