Living Longer

Having various medical degrees or being interested in doing research doesn't really make someone an expert in those topics. I would imagine he is mostly trying to turn this into a business by selling those $20/month subscriptions to his podcasts. Doubt you find he has any special insight into any of those topics he is selling.

There is plenty of free information. I'm not paying for anything.

I try to follow the Blue Zones study and its recommendations.

I've planned my 100th birthday party, so obviously, I can't disappoint my guests by not being there.

That's my secret. ;)

"Living longer than normal really means having a longer period of old age. That's not particularly appealing to me."

As someone who has spent 15 years and counting dealing with my parent's dementia, I agree! I wholeheartedly wish I had an expiration date. No one wants to go while they're still healthy and enjoying life, but I don't know anyone who wants to live beyond that point either.

eh. not worried about living longer. how about live now! work enough but not to much. and use your free time to pursue quality of life. don't wait until you're old.

It's all rubbish.
You can do all the things experts tell you to do and still end up with cancer and dead in your 40's.
You can do the exact opposite of what the experts tell you to do and live in to your 90's.

Old age doesn't scare me. Poor health, that wouldn't be appealing to me. But you can have that in your youth too.

Well, watching older DH's and my parents......in late 70's to early 90s...not entirely sure how long I'd like to go. I do know that I think about this kind of thing a lot more as I get older. Now at 54, I do know one thing....really want to enjoy the next 20 years for sure, because after that time especially....mid 70s on, lots of things seem to begin to go wrong for the most part.
