Anyone else wear the yellow LIVESTRONG band?

-----------------

I got mine a few years ago. I'll admit, I got it because it was a fashion statement and everyone had one. (I was 10 or so.) But a plus was that the money went to a good cause too.
I was tired of wearing it so I took it off around January 07. 6 months later I got the diagnosis and the doctor told me from the tests the tumor started growing January 07. :scared1:

I freaked out and immediatly put that sucker back on. I haven't taken it off since and it doesn't come off. Now, I have a dang good reason to wear it. ;)

I remember them :p I think they got banned from my school at some point...

We got quite a few. Also got a couple from Disney in 2005. One was blue, the other was a glow in the dark green. The green one broke though when I found it again -_-

I had a ton, I was in like 4th grade, it was a fashion statement or something.
To be honest...I cant stand them.
The idea of them is amazing, I would love to wear them to show support, but...the rubber and....just something I cant describe

I like the regular yellow ones though. Thats enough for me though.

Oh God those things... I found my yellow one two weeks ago and put it in an enclosed space... talk about crap. I mean, it's silicon. End cancer and destroy the environment and help more people get cancer.

I had a neon green one from VMK Central... it broke a long time ago.

 Care to explain?

I had one but then I lost it.
I think I may buy one again soon.

I bought mine a three years ago, when I was on my first trip to Orlando.
I wore it for a long time, and at some point I lost it.
No one around here wears them anymore except for a friend of mine..

I had one but after I wore it for a little while I started to get a rash.
I think I am allergic to what ever it is made of.

I used to have a yellow livestrong one, but I lost it. I took it off one day for bed, but it wasn't there when I woke up. :(

I have a yellow 'Until They All Come Home' bracelet for the soldiers in Iraq and a Glow in the dark clear bracelet that says 'Glow For Kids-Children's Miracle Network'

I wear them all the time. I never take them off.

I have a POW bracelet though. It's a metal bracelet with the name of a missing soldier on it.

That's really not the same thing...heh.

Everyone used to wear those in 7th grade...

I had a yellow Livestrong one and a red one for AIDS awareness.
I saw them around somewhere a while ago...

I wear my Livestrong everyday. It's an extension of me. It never comes off except for track meets and volleyball games. I broke my original one 3 months after I got it, but i had a few back-ups because I knew it would happen. I have a really hard time not breaking jewelry. So I had the second one for about 4 years until it broke just a few weeks ago while I was play-fighting with John. And I'm wearing my last replacement one now.

I wear it for my grandpa, who died of lung and throat cancer (9 years ago this past sunday), and for everyone else who has lost a relative or who is fighting cancer themselves. My godmother's sister (like an aunt to me even though we're not blood or marriage related) is currently fighting breast cancer as is one of my mom's co-workers, so I wear it for them, too.

I used to have a ton more for all sorts of different foundations. Just random things I picked up here and there, but then I toned it down to the one that really matters to me.

There's only 3 other bands I would ever contemplate wearing right now. I would wear a white one for the ONE foundation, a red one for the Product(Red) foundation, and one for a teacher that died at my school this year. He was old, but man, he was probably the most well-known and well-loved guy there. I miss him.

Wow...aren't you just a rain on the parade tonight.

i wore one when they first came out. when you still had to order them online.
my mom bought a ton of them and gave them out to basically EVERYONE she knew lol.

It's kind of irritating that they've just become a fashion statement and that they have them for basically EVERYTHING--like stores & stuff.
But at least it's a fashion statement with a great cause!!!!!

I don't wear mine anymore, but I think that they're great, it was a really cool, original idea to raise money & support a cause.

eh. i cant find mine anymore. i used to have just a plain yellow one.

it's not that big of a deal around here (iowa) but it is between me and my friends..my best friend marlee's dad struggled with cancer for 7+ years and is cancer free now and rode 2500+ miles on his bike last year just for fun and also did this thing that lance armstrong does across all the way across the state for like 4 or 5 days, rag brai. it's amazing!
