Live web cams from WDW??

Wouldnt be so very wonderful if the powers that be at WDW would install live feed web cams, so we that are at home , can watch the magic as it happens . It would be so cool to see the crowd level, weather,a possible character sighting...etc.
It would make all of want to go back even more!!
What does everyone think about this idea??

I remember there being a webcam from the Swan or Dolphin (can't remember which) that overlooked the World Showcase and you could see a teeny bit of Future World and of course, Spaceship Earth. It'd be interesting to watch now with the arm being taken down.

They used to have them.

Then the date Sept. 11, 2001 came and went...
and, soon after, so did the live web-cams.

They didn't shut them off ON 9/11.

They shut them off shortly AFTER 9/11.

The web-cams I'm talking about were INSIDE the parks.

(One in the RR Station in MK, shooting the castle and all of Main Street, for instance.)

There is the one (now in operation) from the Boardwalk/Swolphin area that barely catches a bit of Space Ship Earth's globe in the distance.

The question/proposal from the OP of this thread is about Disney operating web-cams inside the parks.

My response is:
1) Once, they DID.
2) Now, they DON'T.

I said I remember watching a live webcam of Epcot within the past year or so, AFTER 9/11/01. So then they DIDN'T shut them off. Unless they only shut off the ones operated by Disney and the Swan/Dolphin left their's on.

I think they may be the same image, but just on different sites. Right now you can't see much because it's so dark, but you can do a time lapse (or something along those lines) and you'll see SE in Epcot and if you go back far enough you'll see the wand before the top was taken down.
