Do you think WDW will keep the cameras going during the worst of the storm, even if they close the park?

I don't know if I would be able to see anything but it might be interesting!

As far as I know, the cameras have been gone since 9/11. I wish they were still on the web.

Anyone know for sure?

I thought they were gone too but if they aren't I would love to know!

I remember once when a bird was in the shot.....uggh it gave me the creeps!

here's one from the swan & dolphin, it's all I could find: CLICKY

Let's see if I can do this........

Here is the official WDW live cameras from MK, Epcot, and MGM.

If the link does not work, do a Google search for "Disney World live camera". The official site was the first one that came up.

Those are from '01. The only one still around is the one on the Dolphin.

The Disney Webcams Are No Longer Live and Their jpeg Links Page Continues To Be "UNDER CONSTRUCTION".

Too bad - I never knew they USED to have them. That would be really neat to see!

The pics that are on that site have a date of 5/26/01 . . .which was really eerie . . .but other than that, I believe that the web cams were turned off after September 11th. When you click on the pics it takes you to a page that says Pardon Our Dust/Under Construction.

I don't believe that there are any more web cams in WDW that are operational.

Not WDW, but I have been watching web.naplesnews.com...there is a web cam on my folks street (CENTRAL) and 5th ave, right near them. It's kinda bizarre, as they had to evacuate, but I can look at what's going on down the street from them! Right now, clear and 85 out in Naples, w/Charley about 300 miles to the S/SW.

The webcams at WDW were taken offline long before 9/11. No official reason was ever given, but it was assumed that it was for security reasons as well as for spin control. By the time that the tragic events of 9/11 took place, the webcams had been offline for nearly 5 months.

The web cameras were off before 9/11. 5/25/01 was the last day. Supposidly the computer people who maintained them were laid off. People forget the economy was on the skids before 9/11, Disney had a big layoff earlier in the year.

So much for my WDW knowledge! Geesh, I'm embarassead! I haven't looked at the cameras for years and didn't even notice the dates!

Is there a link to the Dolphin camera?
