I'm here in the entrance line for DCA. We got in line about 8:24 and we are about 15th or so in our line. When we got here at 7am we were surprised how many people were here but luckily we learned it was for the choc walk and things got a lot lighter! It will still be crowded I'm sure. Will try to update throughout the day!

It's insane! We were here at 7:30, and didn't m know that the CHOC walk was keeping the park closed an extra 2 hours we grabbed breakfast at La Brea and getting around DTD is a nightmare.

Yeah when we got here we went right passed the esplanade (sp) and went to DTD but it was not crowded at that point. Walked through the hotels and that was a nice break away from everyone. I didn't realize that was the reason the park was closed the two hours. Poor planning on my part this time around! It's a mad house over here, people getting in the EMH line not realizing its not the regular entrance are trying to cut into our line. Everyone is confused lol.

We are here today too and it is very crowded indeed. We got here for the EMH and found according to some CM's that the EMH only buys you entrance to the park and stores and cafe's... No rides were open till 10:00 (regular park hours). What a waste. This was a complete unwarranted waste.

Is this really what EMH is? Only entry for stores and food, not rides?

Today is CHOC walk. I have never been to the parks on CHOC Walk day but have heard that this really brings out the crowds and that park hours are shortened. Which park did you go in to early this morning? Disneyland did not actually have early entry hours this morning. Early entry days at Disneyland are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. For today 10 AM was listed as the official opening time, so inn that case, Disneyland usually opens the gates at least 1/2 hour early to start letting guests onto Main Street. Some characters might be out, and some of the shops and eating places might be open, but the ropes barring access to the rest of the park stay up until official opening time.

This morning should have been an early entry day at DCA for guests staying at PPH, DLH, or the Grand, so if you stayed at one of the onsite hotels and were granted access to DCA at 9 AM this morning and still not allowed to ride any rides or do anything beyond Buena Vista Street, then that would be a bummer. That would have been an atypical experience though.
