Your pictures are awesome! I especially like the Splash Mountain one--I could never stay still enough to take a picture during the drop.

Thanks for posting the pictures and your on-the-scene trip report!

Ok, well while my wife sleeps in, again, Im off to AK for Everest. I'll be taking on-ride photos. When I get back, while waiting on my wife to get ready for the day, I'll post the other photos from yesterday.

See you real soon!

LOL - I have enought to wallpaper a small room! There is something "snatchable" about those brochures with his adorable face on them!

By the way, I know there's a couple of people reading this post who are at WDW right now as well. After posting the photos, I've found out that one of you was very close to me during the parade yesterday.

:wave2: That would have been me! DD and I were there on Wednesday as schools were closed due to the weather, so yesterday we were working & in school!

Looks like the crowd on Thursday was not much more! I hope it remains that way this weekend! We are having lunch at Chef Mickey on Saturday, and I am sure we will head back into Magic Kingdom or maybe take the monorail to EPCOT or both! Heck, we might even head over there for the evening.

It sounds like you are having a great vacation! I like that you let your DW sleep in and go out and about on your own!

What time of day did you catch the Pirate Show? We never seem to see it.... (is it on the times guide - LOL - I'm bad - I rarely look at one!) I guess most times we have been to MK since they started that have been in the evenings - so maybe that is why we are missing it!

Isn't it funny when EVERYTHING else is practically walk on - Peter Pan still has a wait.... I guess they just can't move the people through that one like some other rides! I do love that one, but we rarely go on it anymore - not worth an hour wait, and FPs are normally gone when we get to the parks!

I hope your vacation continues to be as wonderful as it has been to this point.....

Wow!! What great pictures and reports! School has already started for us or I would be there, too. We can't go to Disney without the kids...we would end up in a less than nice nursing home one day. Your pics, tho, make me feel like I was almost there....almost :teeth: .
Michele

PS...when you have kids you either 1. get to act silly because it makes them happy or 2. you act silly because it really annoys your teenage daughter!

Friday: Well this morning I got up pretty early and went to AK. I was one of the first 50 people (I'd assume) at the park. I got to the gates at around 8:30 am. While waiting, the talking palm tree (like the talking trash can in MK) was playing around with guests.

Then around 8:50 they let us go up to the bridge where the tree of life is. At that point they had ropes set up to keep you from going any further. Around 9:55, a truck with Minnie, Goofy and Pluto rolls up and they begin the opening ceremonies (I didnt realize they did this). Then Mickey comes up on a hydrolic lift way up at the Tree of Life and waves to the crowd and now, the park is open.

They walked the ropes all the way to Expedition Everest, to keep people from running. They announced that Everest was not opening right away. NOT TRUE. It was open when we showed up to the ride 5 minutes later (I almost thought they did it to decrease the mayhem at EE).

I immediately went up and got a FP and then got on and rode. I was on the first train of the day. After I rode, there was still no wait, so instead of using my FP, I rode again. I then got to the single rider line and rode again. Even at 11:30 there was only a 20 minute wait (it was 40 minutes at 12:00). In all, I rode Expedition Everest 7 times today! I got A LOT of on-ride photos and some GREAT ones of the Yeti! I'll be posting them soon!

I then rode Dinosaur (no wait), and Primevil Whirl (No wait). I then went to Khali Rapids since it was so hot (I never like rides where you get soaked). However, there was only a 10 minute wait (though the sign said 20 minutes), so I rode twice and got drenched.

Afterwards, I figured I'd start back to the hotel since my wife was getting ready for the day, after sleeping in. On the way out, I got a frozen lemonade at the Rapids FP area. It was the best I've had in a long time! It's not one of the ones that is so sweet it makes you very thirsty. This one hit the spot!

So now Im back at the hotel, waiting out a storm, and then we're heading to EPCOT for the day.

As someone requested, I'll get any Nemo construction photos I can but, I dont think you can see anything. I'll check it out though.

Also I got photos of the Nemo show at AK. The theatre is huge! It's all indoors now (as opposed to an outdoor ampitheatre). It looks, by size of the theatre alone, that it's going to be a pretty big show.

Also by request, I'll be getting some photos of the restaurant in France.

Anyways, off to EPCOT Shortly. See you all tonight!
