How did you make the red/green 3 D pictures?

I have a Vivitar digital 3D camera which produces the shots ready to go. (I can make 3D with a standard digital camera by taking two side-by-side shots and running them through a program I have as well. Its a hobby of mine.) I'm not crazy about the quality, but right now even my standby camera isn't giving me the quality I'm used to.
