Hi All ~ As said before, this is a resting Florida trip.....planned only ONE day at the parks....BUT I planned to see all the parks!
Mickey woke us up at 8am, we ate in the room and at DHS by 9am-ish. It was a little busy, but we managed ToT, RnR, Toy Story and Star Tours. We walked around a little and then took the boat over to Epcot. Epcot was nearly empty. We strolled around a little, bought fries at UK counter service....did you know an order of yummy UK fries is only $2.89? Awesome snack! We had the free International pop then did Test Track. It was pretty hot today!
We took the monorail to MK, then got on the MK monorail and sat there for 20 minutes. They kept announcing that they were waiting for another train to move. People were getting upset. I liked sitting on the air conditioned monorail for a break. We did Pooh, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain during the afternoon parade. It was getting hotter and we were slowing down. I took the bus with my kids from MK to POP. DH took the monorail to the DHS bus at TTC to DHS and then picked up the car and drove back to POP. HE BEAT US BACK TO THE POP!
We had a nice break at the POP and we had dinner. It started raining so we thought about skipping AK. But the kids had their hearts set on EE. So at 6pm we drove to AK. It closed at 7pm tonight. The sky cleared! AK was empty! We did Dinosaur, EE and Kali and shopped in one hour!
I was happy and done for the day! Lemonade and watching the sun set while enjoying a swim rounded off the day! My feet hurt! LOL!
I considered going back to Epcot and MK for the fireworks, but I saw them in March and wanted to get back to a RESTFUL vacation!
We are heading to The Disney Wilderness Preserve tomorrow morning and relaxing the rest of the day!
Tuesday is a COMPLETE rest day!
Wednesday we sadly head home.......
Blessings, Sandra
