Your reviews have been wonderful, I have so enjoyed reading them all
I sit in my office in England and am instantly transported to the Poly :yay:
All the food looks so yummy (especially the Tonga Toast :) )
Have a safe trip home and thanks for all your time and efforts

Loved the reviews, as usual. So sad that they are ending! Great pics of you guys! Can't wait to see some more of the photopass pics!

Sounds like the perfect, relaxing Anniversary!

Safe travels home ... and by the way, when's the next review ... errrrr, trip? :cutie:

Thank you so much for taking time to post your reviews! I really enjoyed them. It's because of your pictures and review of the Poly CL that we switched for our September trip:thumbsup2 We are staying over Labor Day, but i dont think it will be as crowded as Thanksgiving week, it should be okay:goodvibes
Have a safe drive home and a Happy Thanksgiving!

What cute pictures of both of you!

Thanks for sharing your holiday/vacation with us, and so pleased for you both that you had a special anniversary trip with no major food howlers!

safe trip home, hope the gingerbread men and all the candy travel safely too;)

Hey, girlfriend. I love the pics of you and Todd--great job (my favorites are the one in front of the castle and the one with Lilo). Too cute and you look great (so does Todd!). xo

So sad that you are leaving.... I was enjoying your report.

I noticed you had 1/2 portions at Fultons. Is that something you can do anywhere? I know some restaurants here in CA have smaller portions but they are never a good value as they are only a few dollars less than the full plate price. They are never 1/2 the price. Is it the same at Fulton's or different?

Thanks for taking the time to do a trip report LIVE!!!

Oh and I didn't have Wendy's last night but I had Roy's in Oahu. I had the best Upside down Pineapple cake. It reminded me of your pineapple with caramel sauce. Anyways... my combination was delicious. The pineapple in Hawaii tastes totally different from the main land. In fact we eat one a day here. I'll have to post pictures.

Oh and one more thing... we are going to the Pineapple Plantation to have Dole Whip (where it originated). We also walked by the site of the new Disney Hotel/villas here in Oahu. We are staying at Marriott Ko'Olina...

Once again I'm all caught up and just loved your reviews!! I can't believe the trip is coming to a close!!!

I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving and thanks for sharing your trip with us!!

Nicki, thank you so much for ALL of your reviews! Tom and I enjoyed them so much!!! It was so much fun coming home from work and checking for updates! You need to go back SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what wonderful photopass pics! Thank you for posting them! :thumbsup2

:wave2: Have a safe trip home! :car:

Fantastic reviews....in your opinion, if you had to choose one or the other, would you do Kona for lunch or breakfast?

Thanks!

Nicki,

Thanks so much for taking time to post your great reviews and pics! I always enjoy reading about your dining (and drinking) adventures. :worship:

Kathy

I hope you had a safe trip home! Fulton's looks fabulous! I might have to sneak there with the other seafood eater in my family, DD10, next time we're at DTD. And those desserts at Goofy's--I'm drooling! Thanks for the great pictures!

:grouphug:Thank you for sharing your week with us! I will be following you from this point forward! :goodvibes

Happy Anniversry and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!:dance3:

It was my pleasure, thanks for experiencing the trip with me! Have a great Thanksgiving!

I've been enjoying all the reviews! I think it's funny that the Cosmo slushie has made it to permanent status at the France slushie station, when it was only a festival item before. I know some people will be happy. Others ambivalent.

You're killing me with all the baked goods. Unbelievable, and I have to run that gauntlet in a few weeks!

I am thrilled, I really enjoy all three and will have to try and fit them all in one trip, along with Margaritas from the Ditch because I am hooked now! You should see the treats we brought home with us...3 huge Disney bags full of yummy goodness...but most are gifts for me to give out on Thanksgiving, if DH doesnt eat them all :rotfl:

Just gotta say Karin and Tom you guys are so sweet, what a lovely thoughtful gift to send :)

Wow great updates :) So sad that you guys are going home as I have been living vicariously through you guys at the Poly :)

Fultons looks amazing, thank you for sharing that review as me and DF are in two minds about going there. Is it better for lunch or dinner?

Gotta love Goofy's Candy Co, you could spend a small fortune in that place, or use all your snack credits :)

Thanx for sharing with us and

mickeyminnieanniversary.gif

As sad as I am to not be at the Poly anymore I was glad to get the heck out of there today...never thought I would say that about WDW but the place was a nightmare....I have never seen crowds like that!

We have not been to Fultons for lunch, just dinner, and it has always been incredible.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Sometimes we clean up nice :lmao: Can you believe I do not have a trip planned at all? That is freaking me out! I am sure we will go in 2010 but have nothing set in stone, with our schedule you never know what is going to happen!

Mouth watering reviews Nickl!!!!

Thank you!

Thank you for enjoying it with us! All the treats made it home in one piece, well except for the caramel corn, we devoured that on the ride home

There were so many that came out great and so many that didnt, you know when you are trying not to close your eyes when the sun is in them or one of you looks good and the other doesnt :rotfl: I am going to buy a ton online because they will be 40% off with the MVMCP Photopass

I never ordered 1/2 orders before, we asked at Fultons and they said not a problem...I know you can do that at Il Mulino too.

Thanks for reading our reviews, I hope you enjoyed them! I have never had pineapple upsidedown cake, looks good though! I hope you are having a blast! I am so jealous! My inlaws went to the Pineapple Plantation and had a great time.

Once again I'm all caught up and just loved your reviews!! I can't believe the trip is coming to a close!!!

It is over in the blink of an eye isnt it? Where does the time go! Have a wonderful holiday!

Hey girlfriend! I still have one more day of updates to go but I am exhausted! Dont know if I will get to it tonight or not. I will let you know that we stopped in Ft Myers for dinner at Olive Garden tonight, just soup salad and breadsticks but I thought of you the entire time!

You two are too cute! Can't wait to hear about the last day!

Thank you! I will try and post tonight but I am beat and there is so much laundry to do and SOMEONE is already asleep and not being much of a help

Fantastic reviews....in your opinion, if you had to choose one or the other, would you do Kona for lunch or breakfast?

Thanks!

That is a tough one as we love them both but honestly? I would go for lunch...so much quieter and more relaxing, breakfast is great but you can get that just about anywhere and they do serve Tonga Toast at Capt Cooks CS

Nicki,

Thanks so much for taking time to post your great reviews and pics! I always enjoy reading about your dining (and drinking) adventures. :worship:

Kathy

Hi Kathy! Thanks for reading and joining in the fun!

I hope you had a safe trip home! Fulton's looks fabulous! I might have to sneak there with the other seafood eater in my family, DD10, next time we're at DTD. And those desserts at Goofy's--I'm drooling! Thanks for the great pictures!

Fultons is DH's favorite, he could eat there every single night if I let him :lmao: Hope you can get there one day!

This morning the plan was to get up early, finish the light packing and then go to MK for breakfast...thank goodness we planned on this because you could hear the noise from the lounge all the way to our room! Our room was third floor and a few down from the lounge doors and the noise did carry!

I was reviewing our room bill and noticed a $12 charge for valet services at the AKL...wait a sec, hold the phone or rather give it to me so I can call and complain! I have the TIW card and I showed it to the valet AND they recognized the car so you know they were wrong in charging me that! This is the second time they have done that but the Poly CL girls were great and credited it back to my charge. There was also a $49.95 charge for room service for a bottle of Magicale...we had asked the CL where we could get a bottle of this and she said it is WDW exclusive and that there were 2 bottles in the entire resort and they were both chilled so they could send one to the room, but I wanted a warm one to take home with me....she said Bell Services would hold it in the cooler until we left. I told her not to do anything yet...well they didnt deliver it but they did charge it to us. On the way back to the room last night we stopped in to the upstairs gift shop and they had a huge bottle of Magicale for $22!!! And they had 4 of them and the CM said they had a few bottles of non refrigerated ones! So we bought 2 bottles on the way out this afternoon....they credited the $50 back to me too. ALWAYS check your bill before you leave the room!

DH was very grumpy this morning, we didnt get much sleep because our neighbors on both sides and all down the hall were running wild and they ordered room service before we got back to our room and there were stacks 6 high of dirty dishes and left over food right in front of our room and it stunk up the hall and of course our room because it was so darn close! Our room reeked of onions and burgers! I called housekeeping and they sent someone up right away to clear it away. I know I sound like a grouch but hey I am on vacation too and paying a very good rate so why should I have to suffer?? Like I mentioned before, never again during a holiday.

But onto the real reason you are here, the FOOD! No more Nicki Negative reviews...lets get on to the good stuff!

So DH is grumpy and we stopped into the lounge for coffee, what a nightmare. Again it was a mess, again it was packed, again it was out of OJ, Milk and food and people were raising holy mutiny! I said forget this and went to grab a cup and use it at Capt Cooks...sorry if this is taboo but the CS was calmer than the CL lounge!

We had to wait for 2 monorails as they were both so full they could not fit anyone else on them...never seen that before. We finally get to MK and it is a three ring circus...if I didnt see it with my own eyes I would not believe the crowds! DH wanted to cancel LTT for Tonys but we were told on numberous occasions that morning that MK and the surrounding resorts did not have any open ressies all day for a party of 2 or 3.

Straight to Main Street Bakery and suprisingly there was a very small line of people but all the tables were taken so maybe we missed the rush.

DH and I were starving so we each had a ham egg and cheese croissant...oh wow these were the best they have ever been and we have had them alot. There was a ton of not too salty thin sliced ham and a huge egg stuffed with melty ooey gooey cheddar cheese placed on a huge buttery croissant...we scarfed these babies down fast! We split and OJ and no fruit because it didnt look that great

Lastday009.jpg

And of course Todd had to get his cinnamon bun, this thing was humongous and soft and delish in the middle and a bit drier along the outer part but I like it that way and he loves the middle so we get along well when sharing these beauties!

Lastday010.jpg

So I figured I fed him and watered him (well coffee and OJ anyways) so he would be in a better mood right? WRONG! The crowds had him flipping his top! And of course the lines were insane, 40-70 minute waits by 10am! Then Space Mountain was down for technical difficulties and the TTA had a 10 minute wait! That flipped him out. I thought we would just totter around and do what we could do until lunch. He did start to come out of his funk shortly after that, he had a killer headache and instead of telling me that he acting like Meanie the missing dwarf. Men, cant live with them, cant shoot them but need them to support my Disney habit :thumbsup2

He did perk up when he found the egg rolls in Adventureland, too bad there were a scazillion people smoking right by it!

Lastday012.jpg

Lastday011.jpg

He had the pork and shrimp and said it was great

Gosh it sounds so manic, but I know exactly how you both felt as I hate crowds and our second trip last year did not fare so well as it was sooo busy...and in the first week of December at that!!!

That Cinnamon Roll is huge!!! Looks yummy though.

Thanx for the Fultons answer, suppose you just gotta chalk it up to what you prefer lunch or dinner wise :)

I hope the crowds leave before we get there Sunday. :) What are the chances of that though? I'm not holding my breath. Wishing I could do a live review but we don't have a laptop. Heck, we are lucky to have dsl here in rural Indiana. Thanks for sharing your week with us. Our first stop Sunday will be MK and a trip to the Main Street Bakery for exactly what you got. Can't Wait!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading your reviews. Thanks so much for taking the time to post them, along with so many good shots of the menus!
