Aloha!
Just wanted to give you guys a current review of the Polynesian Club Level.
We arrived on Thursday September 24th and are here through to Tuesday September 29th.
ARRIVAL
We arrived around noon on the 24th. The security guard at the gate house handed us a yellow ticket to give to the Valet. We pulled up and were greeted by a friendly valet and gave him the ticket. He immediately had the girl at the bell services desk call to see if our room was ready.
It was! And better yet, we had been upgraded to Lagoon view club level!
BELL SERVICES
Paul from Bell Services drove us over to Hawaii, he handled all our bags, and told us facts about the Polynesian on the drive over.
CHECK IN
As soon as we entered the Hawaii longhouse Wes greeted us "Welcome ________ Ohana!" He said our room was ready and that Paul would take us up. Wes explained we could take our time getting settled in the room and come down to get our keys at our convenience. He was extremely helpful and friendly. After we had settled, check-in took no longer than 2 minutes.
ROOM
We are on the third floor, very close to the upper lounge entrance with a PERFECT view of Cinderella Castle. The room was clean, with an adorable hidden mickey on the bed.
SURPRISES
We left for lunch at Kona shortly after we checked in. Upon our return we found 2 cards, one from Aladdin & Jasmine for my DMom & DDad's anniversary and one from Snow White for my DMom's birthday. We were also left a beautiful chocolate "postcard" of the Polynesian.
LOUNGE
So far we have had:
AhiAhi (evening service) on Thursday and Friday. The offerings were:
Vegetable Lo Mein
Make Your Own Lettuce Wraps with Chicken or Shrimp
White Jasmine Rice
Ohana Marinated Turkey
Cheese & Crackers
Veggies & Dip
Hummus and Pita
PB&J
Wine, Beer, Rum Punch
Kakahiaka (morning service) on Friday & Saturday. The offerings were:
Mini Croissants
Mini Cinnamon Rolls
Mini Bagels
Butter, Jam, Peanut Butter
Cereals (fruit loops, frosted flakes, cheerios and raisin bran - I beliebe)
Fruit Salad
Orange Juice
Apple Juice
Chocolate Milk
and there were two large containers (the ones with the pouring spouts) with 2% milk and skim milk
Auinala (afternoon service) on Thursday & Friday. The offerings were:
Cookies (chocolate chip & oatmeal raisin)
Goldfish
Pretzels
Popcorn
Tortilla Chips & Salsa
Gummy Sharks
Lemonade
Ice Tea
Orange Guava Passionfruit Juice
Aumoe (late evening service) on Thursday & Friday. The offerings were:
Orange Guava Passionfruit Mousse
Cherry Tarts
Keylime Tarts
Moon Pies
Brownies
Rum Babas
Amurula Cream (I love this stuff now!) Grand Marnier, Kaluha etc.
In short, we are BLOWN away by the service, offerings, room and especially the view!
To answer the questions about milk and water:
I have seen milk out every day. There have been big containers at breakfast and smaller carafes at afternoon/evening services. Chocolate milk is in the back, simply ask and they will bring as many as you would like.
Water, there are a few bottles out to pour individual glasses. If you want a whole bottle simply ask, the only response I have seen is "Absolutely! Just one? Or would you like 2 or 3?"
Chef Dick is here and his evening offerings have been FANTASTIC!
I have stayed at Beach Club, Yacht Club & Wilderness Lodge Club Levels and this is far and away the best
Pictures will be up later tonight or tomorrow
