Live Report from Barb & Tony's Wonder Three-Peat

~we all will try to throw alittle (or lot) of pixie dust your way~:D that picture is exactly what you'll need to get over the three-peat blues when you get home. do you think bribing the auctioneers is an option? :smooth:

and, for the bites - if you can locate some sort of oragel or numb-it stuff that'll work great!

we all can't wait for the details of your "Wonder"ful trip!

Good luck with the picture and also Thanksgiving isn't that far away, silly.

Tina
Magic Western 134 days <--- Yikes!!!!

Barb, I am so sorry to hear about the bites, I can relate!!! I don't get bit on CC usually, just in Florida. I'm allergic to "noseeums" and get HUGE welts like you're describing. I pretty much live in insect repellant now whenever I hit Florida.

Sounds like you and Tony are having an amazing trip! :sunny: I hope you continue with your great streak of weather and thanks for letting us live vicariously through your reports! :)

Barb and Tony--nice new Avatar!!

we just hung out on the adult beach and then headed to Cookies for lunch and Castaway Jo's to get some digital photos

Castaway Jo's??
get digital photos??

have a great day,
Jan :earsgirl:

Yep, Tony got the digital pics of Castaway Jo's!
I think they take the kids from the club there for a while...I saw them trooping over today. Our streak is sorta-kinda still unbroken...there was lots of rain this morning, but it cleared out for a while and we had lots of fun in the sun until arounf 1:30, when thunder started rumbling again. It was time to head back for the Disney Dreams matinee at that point anyway, so we did spend five hours on the island, of which four were relatively dry! Hubby always brings large plastic bags anyway, so our gear was safe and dry.
I caught a peek at the new drink station...looks like it will be open for the new cruise, and it is NICE. I think the juice and lemonade will be very popular.
We are eating at Palo tonight with Tinkerkat and Natsmom & DHs, and then it's time to pack...the three-peat is over all too soon. It has been incredible! We have an 11:30 flight tomorrow, so we will be leaving the ship pretty early. Happy Limo is picking us up, so as long as there is no delay in the port, we should make it because we can leave immediately.
When we move back, I think we will have to go to the health club twice a day!! I've had so much rich food lately that I've resorted to ordering off the kids menu a couple times now.

Hey Barb and Tony,
Glad to hear the 3-peat is going so well but sorry about the bites - if you can get your hands on some amoninia (?) even bleach is does help but that is old conchs remedies - I guess i won't see you tomorrow when you all leave - I am going to pick up Nat'smom and her family in the am and then i guess they will be on their way for home - they were great to be with the other day. As I said time does fly when you are having fun - make sure you drop me a note and let me know all is safe and well.
Hugsssssssss
Shirley & Norm

Barb,

It was wonderful to meet you on the 2nd leg of your 3peat. DH thought I was crazy b/c I was on a mission to find you and Tony. Glad to hear your cruises were "wonder"ful. I look forward to the trip report(s).

Woobie

I sure hope she won it!

I wonder if they have a "Disney" room to put it in or if their whole house is full of Disney stuff? I'm thinking probably the whole house. ;)

Just got home from the three-peat, and it was incredible!!!
No, I didn't win the silent auction :(
Believe it or not, someone else bid on that picture on the last night, and I didn't want to go higher. I was hoping to get it at the reserve ($250)...with our spa bill and all the rest of our decadence, I didn't want to spend any more or our charge card might have self-destructed!!! Oh well, maybe they will have another one for sale in Nov.
Believe it or not, we don't have a lot of Disney stuff in our house. The big decorating theme is my comedy/tragedy mask collection...I have over 100 pairs plus a ton of knick-knacks, so they take up a whole room. But we do have lots of Disney stuff hanging in the foyer...a share of Disney stock, a Don Williams litho from when we met him on the Magic, a Magic inaugural sericel, hubby's AAA ship made of pins, and a 25th anniversary WDW poster. We also have a crystal etching of the Wonder and we got a plate with both ships on this trip. But of course the place of honor is reserved for the 5650 stateroom art :D :D
It was hard to leave the ship behind after 10 incredible days. We had a nice meal with Tinkerkat and Natsmom at Palo last night...my last chocolate souffle for almost three months! My only regret on this trip is turning Tony into a seaweed wrap addict. I remember the days when he used to be content with the hydrobath...now it's massages and seaweed all the way, and he's even threatening to do an absolute face & body next time.
We had an 11:30 flight, and I was worried there would be a line to disembark, but we walked right off around 7:35ish. We had booked Happy Limo for 8, and they showed up in a cool brand-new stretch limo! We were also worried that the line for American at MCO would be bad, but that early it was virtually deserted. All's well that ends well
Trip report coming soon!!!

good to hear you had an uneventful trip home...
i'm looking forward to reading your trip report!!
and if you think 3 months is a long time to wait for your next disney cruise, try 3 years (2005 to be exact)....now THAT's a long time...:(
unless of course, disney builds that 3rd ship and comes over here to where we are....if that ever happens, i'll do my best to give you a run for your money on number of cruises in a year...:)

anyway...welcome home!!

Welcome home!

Can't wait for ALL the trip reports. Good news, someone on eBay is selling the comforters from DCL. I guess DCL is changing some of their bedding. I think you had said that you wanted one of those. I was temped to buy one, but they are twins. He has them listed under blankets.

Tina :)

Thanks, Hopkins,
I need a queen size, but I will keep an eye out! Eventually I would love to redo our bedroom in "stateroom decor" (right now it's just a neutral flower kind of thing). Then, if I could just find a way to reproduce the gentle rocking motion, I would sleep like a baby!
