Live or artificial tree

We have one of each every year. :) That way I get to enjoy my artificial tree from Thanksgiving to Jan. 7 but still get the smells of my real tree for a shorter period of time. Its a lot of work, but I really enjoy having two trees.

I love real trees, but this year we'll most likely use our artificial one. We don't get back from WDW until the 17th and I don't want to wait that long to put up the tree....so I guess a real tree is out.

My tradition is to get a real tree for each of my baby's first Christmases....so I'll be breaking tradition.

I don't usually put up our tree that early...but I'm thinking that this year we'll do it at Thanksgiving. Again, mainly because of our trip to WDW! The following weeks I'll be getting ready for our trip...no time to do the tree.

usually one of each. this year we will be going fake only or 2 fake trees depending on how much work I do.

last year we had 2 real trees. We moved Dec 20th so we bought them either the 23rd or 24th at the local Lowes. The sold them both to us for $5.

Real for us. I'd like to get an artifical but dh and dd won't hear of it so for now at least it's real for us.

Artificial Tree. Much easier than cleaning up needles, and crawling underneath to add water.

Always Real! My Mom and Dad had an artificial tree for the first time last year. I almost cried.

REAL ~ REAL ~ REAL!!!!!

There is nothing that beats having a real tree at Christmastime! I am really surprised at the amount of people here that have non-real trees. Although, there are some very nice non-real trees now-a-days ~ I just have to have my tree be the real deal!!

Prelit Fake.

Partly because I'm allergic to real, but also because it's so much easier and cheaper this way. I can light a pine scented candle if I need the smell =)

I love real trees and we used to have real ones each year until my oldest daughter was 2. Since everything was going into her mouth, we decided pine needles weren't a good idea so we got a fake tree. Now we have 6 pre-lit trees all around our house!!

:sunny:

We had a real tree for our first christmas and the next 28 years. Then our son married someome whose son is allergic to real trees. So now we have an artificial tree.Miss going to the tree farm to cut a tree down. But not having dozens of needles to clean up after the holidays is nice.

I agree, but...this will be our first year to have an artificial tree. DS and I have severe allergies, and I've tried to push through it every year. The last 2 years we were both sick at Christmas and had to go to the Dr., so I broke down and bought a beautiful artificial tree on clearance. It's going to be so sad this year not having our real tree. It just doesn't feel the same pulling it out of the attic.:(

Fake.

We had a real one each year up until about 5-6 years ago. We decided to try a fake one because older DD was having major allergy problems. Not only did it help her allergy problems, but I haven't gotten a sinus infection at Christmas like I always have before!

I like the easy clean-up, and not having to remember to water the real one.

Next fake Christmas tree I buy will be prelit!

We have always had a real tree, but I have been thinking about the benefits of an artificial one lately. I like to put it up Thanksgiving weekend, but the real trees around here really tend to dry out lately. Also, the past two years, we have been away for Christmas, so I put up a real tree, only to take it back down before Christmas. With an artifical tree, we could have left it up while we were gone.

Fake!!!!

My parents had an artificial since the day I was born. One year, we decided to have one of each. We hated it! My father loved it. We had to crawl under and water, the needles fell near Christmas day, the cat got in it, and the branches are never strong enough to handle ornaments that weigh anything. My mother is a BIG Hallmark collector.

My first Christmas, I bought a fake one and swear by it. 50$ on clearence and it will last 10 or more years, till I can buy the grand daddy of all artifcial trees! My friends go out and spend that much every year on a real tree. I would rather buy 50$ worth of toys for a toy drive each year. And I can leave the tinsel on my tree!

Mine is not pre-lite though. I enjoy putting all 3'100 lights on my tree. Ha ha yep, it's bright!

We used to have an artificial tree but the last 7 years or so we do real. It's a fun family night when we get to go pick out our tree and it makes the house smell good. It's messy though.
