I had the best intentions to do this each day, but I am simply having too much fun! :) bear with me if there is iffy formatting on the posts, I am trying this from an iPad...

Sunday (29 Sept)

My arrival day started with a lesson for this first time user of the DDP. I scanned my magic band buying a coffee and bagel on arrival and it used two snack credits (which I had hoped to use at the food and wine festival). My fault for not specifically telling the lady I wanted to charge it, but having said that she is the only person who has served me who hasn't asked first before using the DDP credits. We shall, as a result, forget all about that breakfast and move on to lunch.

Lunch was at the Sci-Fi Drive in at Hollywood Studios. The dining room is awesome.

I chose to have the chocolate shake - which was tasty, but it was more thick shake than milkshake! Took a few minutes to have it melt enough that I could suck it up the straw!

I chose the salmon BLT sandwich for my meal - also tasty, and a refreshing alternative to a burger.

I was so intrigued by this item on the menu though - the picnic burger!

For dinner I decided to hit up a few booths at the Epcot food and wine fest (after a sing along with Starship at the eat to the beat series).

I tried the almond crusted blue cheese soufflé with fig jam from the cheese stall

Staying with the theme I had the cheese soup from the Canada booth - this was probably the best thing I ate all day!

Next I tried the youki tofu from the Japan booth (I love miso sauce on anything)

And finally, for dessert, I headed to Belgium for waffles with berries

My updates to come are:

Day 2 - CRT breakfast, BoG lunch and California Grill dinner
Day 3 - Animal Kingdom and food and wine fest
Day 4 - Cape May and Flying Fish
Day 5 - mystery day (still to decide where I will eat on Thursday!)

Hopefully I can master this iPad app, other wise they may need to wait til next week when I get home :)

So the iPad ap turned out to be a bit of a fail and did nothing but crash on me, but I am now home and can post from the computer :)

Monday

On Monday I had the pleasure of my first ever meal at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast. i was very excited to be heading into the castle for the very first time. The cast members here were fantastic, probably some of the best I have come across in a Disney dining situation.

The first items to come to the table were the pastries. Now keep in mind that I was dining solo - then look at the pastry array

After reading all about the famous stuffed french toast I could not pass up the chance to try it. It was verrrrrrrry sweet, but thankfully the portion was about the right size for something like that (I am glad it wasn't any bigger!!!).

For lunch, I had a Fastpass+ date with Be Our guest. I know, two castles in one day! Talk about being a Princess!

The rooms here are amazing, and the fact that your meal has to magically find you (unlike others on here the day I went there were no roses handed out, we were simply told to find a seat anywhere and that the meal would find you) made this place seem very magical.

My only issue was that there were quite a few empty tables inside, but a LOT of people standing outside in the line, so I am not sure what was holding up getting people inside.

For lunch, I had the croque monsieur sandwich - which was pretty tasty. I enjoyed it.

And there could not be a trip to BoG without trying the masters cupcake. This had a LOT of frosting - so keep that in mind when ordering, more frosting than cake.

Dinner was at the reinvented California Grill (I know, HUGE food day, right?!?). I am really bummed at how dark it was and therefore how hard it was to get pics of the food and my table. I had an awesome unobstructed view of the castle and fireworks from my seat. It was pretty awesome.

For starters I tried the farmers salad. Lots of tasty, fresh ingredients. The poached egg on top was cooked perfectly.

For main I tried the scallops. The gnocchi in this dish was lovely. Silky and light as they should be.

For dessert I could not go past the sundae sampler. The candy corn one was by far my fav!

Tuesday

On Tuesday I skipped breakfast (naughty, I know) and headed to the Animal Kingdom.

Lunch was had in Dinoland at Restaurantosaurus. Who can go past a menu item called "mac and cheese hot dog???". I have a sneaking suspicion this is really bad for you, but boy was it tasty.

For dinner that evening I headed to Epcot to graze on some Food and Wine Fest options and enjoy the Go-Go's concert.

I visited Argentina for an empanada. This had just the right amount of kick for me. Loved it.

I then moved on to Poland to try the kielbasa and potato pierogi. This was one of the best things I ate at the festival. Great balance of salty and sweet.

I moved on to the Greek booth to try the taste of Greece plate. This was a fairly big portion compared to dishes from other booths.

Dessert was the pavlova and a glass of wine from my native Australia.

I then decided I needed to try just one more thing for the day and dug into a frozen 'smores. I wasn't a fan of this. It was like frozen chocolate milk essentially.
