No pics today but that is only because I forgot to put the memory card in the camera today :happytv: this will be remedied tomorrow.

Flew out of Manchester this morning via Monarch - slightly late and I thought I had gotten away with charter flights where people clapping on landing.....obviously not :lmao:

Picked up hire car through Alamo and drove to our base at POFQ....wow is all I can say it's a lovely and much more quiet resort to what we have been used to at the values. We have the dining plan quick counter so have used that for the first time.

Decided to goto Epcot but almost as soon as we got there the heavens opened so went spent a lot of time in the Coke Ice Cool place :thumbsup2 By this time we were all getting really tired as been up for about 24 hours so called it a night and now back at the resort having some of the lovely Disney coffee.....

Hopefully update later tomorrow.

Enjoy you trip, looking forward to updates..... with pictures;)

Have a magical trip! Can't wait to read your trip report! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip.

Ps, its not just the charter flights where people clap on landing :)

That always makes me laugh..are they clapping because they are happy to be there or that the pilot actually managed to do his job and land the plane?!:rotfl:
Either way why do it:confused3

Looking forward to your trip report and glad you love POFQ, it is rather lovely:)
Have a wonderful time.

Yes we got clapping on landing last week with Monarch. Hadn't flown charter or heard any one doing it for years (I like it )

Only ever flown charter twice so not something we come across, only once heard clapping on a scheduled flight, VA Xmas a few years back we landed in really bad weather, almost touched down but pilot lost sight of runway had to go around again, one of worst landings I have experienced. The pilot got a clap & a cheer.

Same here. Only ever flown scheduled but we've had clapping twice. Once, as with your experience, in a horrendous storm where we hit the runway sideways and bounced along until we came to a standstill :crazy2: Overheard one of the cabin crew shouting through to the captain "Who's going to come mop up the blood in the cabin?" :lmao:

Second time, also in severe weather, the captain circled several times but opposite experience where we barely felt the plane touch the runway :thumbsup2

Hope you have a great trip

(Been there done that with the memory card last year .... urgh!)

I'm having problems with the netbook and the memory card so pics may have to wait a bit longer so I hope that you all have a great imagination just like Figment and Eric Idle :happytv:

*edit* think I have some success but its taking ages so here is a picture to show that the Flower & Garden festival is still on!

Day 2 started early with breakfast at the food court which was empty and managed to get to the park just at opening (Epcot) as we had decided to finish what we had started. Headed to Soarin for fast passes - the standby queue was reading 5 mins but a quick look at the queue confirmed otherwise!! Park was fairly empty at this time so we managed to do all the old favourites and some that I hadn't been on for years such as American Experience and Living with the Land.....American Experience was a bit over the top in my opinion but I'm sure if I was American it would make me come over all patriotic....saying that it was still a bit of an education to me.

We spent a lot of time going through World Showcase as by early afternoon the park was fairly busy - we just went at a leisurely pace. I expected it to be busier as it was the weekend after all :) Also stopped by at the Coke Zone where I just love the Chinese water melon drink :thumbsup2

Eventually left the park around 5pm then went to Winter Summerland for some mini golf - as a family we love it so are looking forward to trying out the new courses at Universal. Finished the evening by a quick trip to Downtown Disney to check out Art of Disney which I love as a store although it always leaves me poorer - we got here by taking the boat from the resort....this was nice and relaxing.

I already have a fridge full of drinks as we are stockpiling every time we use the dining plan - I didn't know you got a drink with your meal as well as getting your refillable mug :thumbsup2

Anyway tomorrow I think we have settled on Animal Kingdom....

Ah, I removed Chrome a few days ago, started eating the CPU, it was using 250,000k+ for some reason, I might try re-installing sometime.
