Hi everyone!
You'll have to excuse any typos -- I'm typing on my DH's lap top and am not used to it yet!
The weather is great -- although yesterday was the hottest day so far. We've been to MK, AK and EPCOT and don't thing the crowds are bad at all. Have been here when things were much more crowded in July and August.
We are staying in Samoa until the 6th -- we then move to a two bedroom at OKW and then back to the Poly for the last two nights in Concierge.
We had friends check in yesterday for a one night stay and they were bumpted to Concierge. The CM told them that the Poly is filled to 101% capacity and that anyone checking in after 3:00 yesterday had a very good chance of being moved to another resort.
The pool was definitely crowded yesterday, but we expected as much since it was the 4th. We did venture over to EPCOT for a short time and did not notice an increase in crowds. It did seem that everyone was headed to the MK.
If you are coming to the Poly in the near future, bring BUG SPRAY! This is the first time we have encountered sooooo many mosquitos. We have been on the beach each night and were eaten alive the first night. My DD must have 30 bites on her back. The mosquitos are really bad right now.
The new bus stop looks great. To answer your question, there is only one bus stop now. New signs were put up around the resort indicating the new location. It has the "ceiling" fans at the top and benches, etc. It looks really nice. It's located next to the GCH on the left.
This is our first time using the buses, as we usually take the monorail or drive our own car to AK and MGM, but we took the bus to AK on the 3rd. What a long wait. I perceive myself to be a patient person, so we waited it out. But there were many people who were voicing their disgust and opted to drive in the end. When two buses did arrive, they were filled to capacity and the driver indicated that he could only fit about 5 people.
I remember in the past sharing a bus with the WL and GF, but this time the bus is shared with the Contemporary. When we left AK it was pouring rain and three All Star buses came and went before one bus for the Poly arrived. Then unfortunately the ceiling was leaking so those standing in front of me were getting continually wet.
I am not complaining, as I'm on vacation and what's a little wait, but there were many people who were unhappy. Next time though, I will hop in the car and head over.
It seems that many are checking out this a.m., but with the start of the Fairytale Package yesterday, I am sure many more will be arriving.
I will be on line for an half hour if anyone has any questions.
Aloha!
