You are quite right about the storm not progressing as anticipated, although a later Monday arrival may be a possibility.

I would definantly stay on the Magic for a few more days...or more...than deal with getting a flight out of anywhere today! With flights cancelled indefinantly with FL and then the lock down at LAX today that couldn't have been less stressful than floating out on the ocean.

Is that Viviane from Brazil ?? It is like her third week!! She is awsome and my friend! We went through training together for two weeks. I am glad you are enjoying having her. Anyway IMO the majority of guests have been awsome about the changes! You should have heard the cheer I heard coming from the Atrium when the changes where announced! Haha I was all the way in the back of the Oceaneers club and I could here people. The answer about Castaway Cay is that no one knows yet. And believe me ALL of us want to know if it is still there. I don't think there will be any word until at least Monday. But rest assured in case you were wondering everyone that lives on the island is either on the Wonder or at All Star Sports right now safe and sound.
I still love my job even though I am feeling like somewhat of a bad luck charm!! I seem to have cause all the Hurricaines to come since I got to Orlando!!
Anyway I just wanted to say Hello to everyone on board, I never see you guys!! But I am here and 90% I am with the 5-7s so don't hesitate to stop by. Enjoy the extra days, and I hope you all get home safe and sound. For those of you getting on on Monday, hang in there !! There is still fun instore!! I we will get there!

are reported at WDW...

on the weather channel they are reporting the cape canaveral is getting and been getting 50-70 mph winds and a lot of rain. let everyone know mother nature is taking care of the car washes for all parked at the port. dont look like the magic or wonder are going to be in port on monday. my prayers are for everyone including my family in stuat fl.

What can be better than another 2 days at sea. If it wern't for the news.. we would never know we had a storm back home. we did dock at Galvston and some people got off. I saw a news crew on the docks too. I too am up early with BOBBY.. Like he said, very quite on board this early. I was told 600 people got off in Galveston.
We got special menus last night for dinner with the date and the location on it. The crew has been so accomendating. Last nights show was a band that makes music with trash cans, brooms, ski poles..... It was great.

Gee, I must suffer with another day inthe sun..now what pool should I go to today...
I did get to meet GEMMA at PALOs, and I had SHASHA for my waiter there. I have NADGEE , ARVID and Cythia at my restaurants. Outstanding people.

Well, we're off to Florida. I guess we'll drive on, hunker down in the Jacksonville hotel (they have power -for now) and hope the port can open tomorrow. If not, we'll just do whatever. Good luck to everyone and maybe we'll see you other Magic cruisers on Monday.

Port Canaveral: Cruise ships won't be in Monday
All six home-ported cruise ships are not expected to be in on Monday, but instead it would likely be a Monday or Tuesday return, said Canaveral Port Authority spokeswoman Dixie Sansom.

"All of this is, of course, is contingent upon Frances being gone and the Coast Guard opening the port," she said. "It has to first be inspected for shoaling and for obstacles in the water before the Coast Guard makes a decision on when it can re-open to boat traffic."

I would call your hotel and make sure they will have a room for you when you get there. There isn't a room to be had in Orlando and from what we hear on the news, they are not kicking people out of the rooms that they already occupy. Jeb Bush was back on tv asking people to stay put and for no one else to come into the state as it's been declared a disaster area. There is almost go gas to buy once in the state, especially in the Orlando area and along the east coast. Until we can get a tanker into the Fort Lauderdale ports, we will not be getting any new deliveries.

The port is being slammed with high winds and rain right now. The wind gusts are 124 mph. They say the storm is going to be around for another 8 hours. There are over 4 million people without electricity here in the state and that number is growing quickly as the storm moves across the state. The whole state is seeing some of the effects of the storm. I live all the way down on the west coast in Naples and we are having high winds and rain. Our Mahogany tree in our front yard that made it through Charley just went down about an hour ago.


I'd give anything to be stuck on the Magic right now!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The Weather started getting rough, The Magic Ship was tossed"...OKOK you all know the rest..

Getting a bit Bumpy out here..We are somewhere between Mexico and Florida, and the Seas that were like glass, Well...Have started rocking the ship,...

Got the announcement that we wont be docking until 4:00pm Monday..and that still may change,...

Any other word on the Port Yet?..

How about Castaway Cay?....

Will let everyone know whats going on as soon as we find out..

No word on the port other than it had gusts of 124mph earlier today.

All the barrier islands are closed--streets are still closed.
Bridges are closed. They will not be open until engineering has been checked and safety of the island in terms of power lines and blocked roadways has been taken care of.
