Hi to everyone! I just loved reading "live" reports while I was anticipating our cruise so figured I'd take a couple of minutes to post. Everything so far has been fabulous. The kids DD-12 and DS-10 got together with a couple of kids they met through the disboards and that is going great. They are not thrilled with the clubs yet. May give them another try today but yesterday was a bust! We've had dinner at Animator's and Parrot Cay - both good though I preferred Animator's menu. Character breakfast at Parrot Cay yesterday was fun - noisy as usual. The parents did not eat because we had brunch at Palos. We thought it was the best! Maybe that's why Parrot Cay wasn't too impressive last night! I attended the Entertaining Series yesterday - very fun and informative. GOt to taste bacon-wrapped scallops with balsamic and oil drizzed greens and a sample of Reisling wine. Yum. Last night was formal night - my guys were in tuxes. Saw a wide variety of formal wear. Would not sweat this one. Just loojk your best and please act your best. We've seen some kind of obnoxious behavior. Not any disboard people though! We had our dismeet yesterday (thanks, Scratch!) and it was fun to put all the names and faces together at long last. The weather could be a bit warmer - pretty cool at our castaway party though people were in the pools. It's 72 this morning but the one thing I was not prepared for is how windy it is all the time. I guess because we're moving 22 knots! Just surprised me! We are on Deck 7 - 7600 and 7602 connecting rooms. Glad I brought the bungee cords! Our room host Danny is great. Our servers have begun to slowly warm to us. I was worried the first night but they seemed to connect more with us last night. We have Herbert and Okim.
I've relied on so much infor from this board -THANKS SO MUCH! I keep running into people who say "How did you know to do that?" I can just smile my little dis smile... ANyway, gotta get back to the sun but thought I'd repay the favor and pass on the info! If I can answer any questions, I'll try to check back now and then. DH got the unlimited package - own our own business so... ANd thanks Verhanda Man for that awesome picture - you're the best! ANd by the way, I think I might become Verhanda Mom - I love love love spending time there. Would not ever do this without it - but that's me!! Enjoy your planning - it is so worth it!

Enjoyed reading your live report Verandah Mom!!!
It's cold and snowy here in New Jersey today, savor that 72 degrees!!! Hope to hear more as the week goes along, tell Scratch42 I said hello!!!

Minniesota........Have a great sailing.....it's 26 and sleeting here in northwest indiana. Forcasting 3 inches of sleet/snow today and 7-12 inches tomorrow with 25-35 mph winds.....72 sounds GREAT! As far as know what is going on from "the doards".....izzinmac dubbed us "dis dorks" on our 11/29 Eastern. You are no a dis dork!! Have a great cruise!!

Thanks for the report minniesota! Hope to hear some more from you while you're onboard! Take a lot of pictures and HAVE FUN!

Thanks for the report! We are sitting here in our first BIG snow of the year and all I can think about is the Disney Cruise Line! Wish I was there with you! We have 8 months to go!

Hope you have a great time!

THanks for reminding me that there is warmer weather out there. I woke up yesterday and the weather was minus 15 with calm winds. At least it warmed up to the teens but snow and ice are on the way again....can i tag along with someone this weekend....please

Enjoy every second. Can't wait to hear more! 72 sounds REAL good to me, 12 degrees and expecting 6-12 of the white stuff tomorrow. :sunny:

Enjoyed reading the post! Let us know how things are in a couple days...

Glad you're having such a good time. Please say hi to Scratch and Tanya!! Since we are expecting snow and it's so cold here tell Scratch she just has to bring better weather home with her!!

Ok, I'm sure this is a dumb question but what is the bungee cord for?

Thx for the update, are you sailing Eastern? I hope the weather warms up by the time you hit your ports. Have a wonderful time!!

Hi

Can you please ask Scratch to crank up that thermostat a little bit more before I get there.

Thanks:sunny:

:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: This evening as the snow continues to pile up....I dream of being on the Disney Cruise at relaxing and enjoying the shows and the fabulous food and then right before winding down going out on the verandah to listen to the waves rush by and then gradually get rocked to sleep by the rocking of the Magic.

Thank you so very much for your post.

Hey,
If you are on the Eastern could you pleaase confirm what nights are casual, formal , semi formal and tropical?

Thanks

Magicboundagain, How do you like this weather? I can't wait to get out of this mess!!!!! :bounce:

I'm not the OP but I am on the Magic right now as well. To answer your question, formal night was Sunday night, tropical night is tonight (Tuesday night), and I believe semi formal night is Thursday night.

We are in St. Maarten right now. We did the bus tour around the island this morning and shopped for a few hours this afternoon. We jus returned to the Magic for a cool drink and some relaxation. The weather is finally warm (80), a few passing showers but mostly sunny.

It's our first cruise and we love the Magic. Well time to relax some more......:smooth: :teeth: :smooth:

Ooooh, I am green with envy!!! HAVE FUN! :sunny:

Minniesota---- I am so jealous of you cruising the bahamas!!!! I am almost green with envy if the blood in my body could start to move. I think I am frozen with jealousy instead. It snowed a ton in Minnesota on Sunday and all day Monday. We got about 10 inches in the twin cities and 18 - 24 up north. You picked a great week to be cruisin'. Heck any weather on a DCL has to be better than weather at home!
