The grand jackpot of $5K! I was in the shower when he came back to tell me and of course I didn't believe him until I saw the receipt myself!
I've been fighting the flu (not Norwalk, the more typical URI flu) on board since Tuesday night (first day!) with chills in Palo. Spent Key West afternoon in bed, felt better for dinner. Then felt ok on sea day, but really bad on Cayman (Captain Marvin's was still going, but we cancelled as they weren't recommending it for small kids). I went back to bed and spent most of yesterday and all of today in the stateroom. I did visit the dr. on Friday and got a Z-pack because we weren't sure if it was the flu or the beginnings of something else. Since the Z-pack is doing nothing to help, I know it's the flu and have been avoiding all contact with people. Have to admit I shed some tears thinking "why me?, why THIS week?", etc.
This morning DD was burning up and had a sore throat so she went to the dr. with DH and we thought a possibly strep reoccurence (she just had it the week before Christmas). He did a test and she doesn't have it, so she has the flu too (and got a flu shot; hopefully hers is short-lived!). We spent the day in bed sleeping and watching movies and had finally decided to take a shower when DH came in with DS and the news. I will tell you it certainly helped raise my spirits!
We have rebooked for 10/15/05 - the 1st cruise after drydock and it's fabulous to know it's paid for!
Happy New Year to all! And a special hi to the DIS-Board group - I haven't seen a soul, but then again when you're lying about in bed, it's hard to socialize!!

So sorry to hear of your illness. Who was your Bingo cruise staff? Is it still Karen from England?
