The weather 's phenomenal!

I hear we are in for some smooth sailing, though the first few hours are a tad rockier than in previous years.

For you pin traders, they've reinstated the CM Pin trading as of this cruise!

Most of our board did a nice (but too short) DIS Meet. We'll be playing some poker real soon (I brought the cards anc chips).

Something I never did and I finally did this cruise - and I reccommend it highly...the opening night Welcome Aboard Variety Show. Excellent!

Hi all! We're onboard this cruise, too! The dismeet was cool. I couldn't stay long, but it was nice to meet Lori, Mike, Deb. My DS met Lori's son at the stack.

We can surely feel the ship rock, back and forth. The first night a boy at the next table threw up. The poor thing. But he was back tonight, so I guess he adjusted.

OUr servers are Deepak from India and Maria from England. FABULOUS!!! Really nice people! Excellent service without the speech!

Our room steward is Clifford. What a doll! He has alot to contend with, and is always cheerful.

The concierge team is Mia and Jonathan. Lovely people and very thoughtful.

We have seen no shows yet. DH and I have been really taking it easy this trip. Tomorrow we might get more involved. We'll see!

That's about it! Hey Mike-how about some Texas hold-em? Pick a time and place, buddy!

I didn't bring my DD lanyards or pins this cruise, because I had heard that the CMs weren't trading. Well, I happened to mention it to one of the CMs and she said no-it started again. Soooo- Ole Mom went and bought another lanyard with 4 pins (Toy Story) and then an additional 4 pins. So she was thrilled to be able to trade with the CMs. Its a real highlight for her!

And I dropped off a white t-shirt at guest services to have the characters sign it. It will be delivered late friday evening.

Can you tell me how that works? Can anyone do this? Can you bring any item (pillowcase, for example)? This would be really fun in lieu of the autograph book...

Tracey, it was a tip I learned here. I brought along a plain white t shirt for my DD. I went to the Guest Services desk and the CM asked if I wanted someone particular or everybody. I said everybody, including Cinderella, please and thankyou. He acted as if it was very run of the mill.

PS We bought an autograph book anyway.

The weather is beautiful! Very sunny, a little on the cool side up on deck, where its windy. But is is "sunburn" sunny. Tomorrow it is supposed to be warmer.

Thanks for the great news about the pin trading. This will be our first cruise in April L&S, the 7th through the 14th and I was disappointed to think that DD9 wouldn't get the full experience. So now, I need to get the lanyard for her. Also thanks for the updates on how the trip is going, how is the weather??

I will be on the relocation cruise and have not done a suite until then. How do you like it , where are you located, and would you change? How did the arrival go, a tour of concierge?

I know what a lanyard is (we have them for ski passes) but is there anything specific about the lanyards people use on cruises. My sons plan to bring a few pins next week on the Magic and I'm wondering if this is something I should be shopping for...

These are a bit thicker so that you can put the pins on all the way around. Usually you can get a starter pin lanyard with 4 pins on it. You can get it on the ship, but I also remember seeing these in the Disney stores-not Disney.com.
