Boy what a cruise this has been!!! What started out as a three day cruise was extended to four days, then five.
Instead of going to Nassau and Castaway Cay we sailed to Cozumel, Mexico.
We left Cozumel at 10:30pm and slowly sailed back to Port Canaveral hoping that it would be opened by 5PM this evening.
This afternoon Capt John informed us that PC isn't due to open until Thursday or later.
So we turned around and are sailing south once again to Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale. DCL will then transport the passengers to airports, WDW resorts or back to PC for those of us who have cars parked there via buses.
Overnight accomodations will be given to passengers who can't get flights home on Tuesday.
Although many passengers/crew are getting antsy to get off the ship, I'm personally enjoying our "endless" cruise. The crew has gone out of their way to make our cruise "wonder"ful.
I was also happy to learn that the cars parked in DCL's PC terminal did not sustain any damage.
I expected to have a wonderful time on this cruise and all my expectations were met.
Now I just need to get a flight home, so the g'kids won't miss more than a couple of days of school ... they're due to start tomorrow (Sept 7th).
