Live from SSR

I arrived yesterday at SSR at about 12:00 noon. I had requested a room near the main pool but they did not have any. I was put in congress park but our room was not ready until 4:00 pm. So we went and got some lunch at Artists Palet and it was SOOOO good! I got the peperoni flat bread (amazing) a couple of people got the ceasar sandwiches and they both raved about them. Another got the chicken strips and said they were OK. We went and got some groceries and by the time we were back the room was ready. I was pretty disappointed that we were not going to be by the main pool. Now, I am SO GLAD! The congress park area is amazing and I will request to stay here from now on. It is so quite and the view of DTD is breathtaking. The quiet pool only had about 3 people in it when we walked by and the play area is darling. You kind of forget where you are and to me, that is great. I like to get away from the craziness that is Disney when I want to relax. This place is perfect and I cannot imagine what the rest of it looks like since I had not had a chance to really stroll around.

Just wanted to update everyone on what I think SSR is like. I honestly cannot believe that someone could not like it here. You would have to come with an already formulated opinion of it to not fall in love with it.

Have a great stay! I completely agree about Congress Park. We always stay there. It's nice to be close to the main pool, but the views and quiet pool at CP cannot be beat. It is still only a 7 min. walk to the main area so we always request CP.

I like that SSR has more than one desireable location. When the Grandstand is finished, it will have 1 more
