LIVE from Orlando

Thanks for the update regarding Legoland. I doubt we will visit it as the troops are getting a bit old for kiddie rides.

Hope the weather is kind to you :)

Decided to go to Islands of Adventure today (Tuesday) Not been since 2003.
Woke up 7.45, breakfast at condo and made it to the park at 9.30am.
Was very quiet apart from harry potter area. Most rides walk on or 5 mins wait.
Got lots done -spiderman, jurassic park - DD loved pterandon flyers.
Then we spent lots of time in suess landing. Will come back and do harry potter another day.

Weather was warm and cloudy but obviously a storm brewing - some spitting rain but windy.

We had a late lunch at Margaritaville - had a coupon for a free margarita for me and DH. DH had the special and I had a blackened fish sandwich.

We left after lunch as we expected heavy rain and went to premium outlets on I drive. Everyone had the same idea it was packe1d. Myself and DD got Uggs - she chose the pink ones with the sparkly soles!

Had tea at Friendly's on I drive which we all enjoyed - we had the deal for $11.99 for an entree, soda and sundae.

It rained heavily this evening but watching the weather now seems the Orlando area has missed the worst of the storm.

Plan for Wednesday (weather permitting) is Acquatica.

Great report - and lovely to read details of staying offisite (as we are next week)-

I need to get into some serious coupon downloading for when we go on Monday!

Sounds like your having a great time! I love reading the live trip reports, makes me excited for my trip! :)

Hope you are still having a great time :)

great photos , thanks for sharing
wondering that legoland would be like just for adults

Wednesday we had breakfast at Village Inn on Westwood blvd nr seaworld - accepts the kids eat free card. We both had a skillet which came with pancakes cost $25 plus tip.

Decided to risk Aquatica - it was forecasting rain but not until the afternoon.Had a good time, our first visit there. Was pretty quiet.

It didn't in fact rain but we left early afternoon and went back to the resort to change before afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. I had a buckingham palace and DD the mrs potts tea - cost $47 plus tip.

We then went to the Florida Mall. I picked a coupon booklet up at guest services - we used one at build a bear $5 off. DD got her first build a bear - she recorded a message for it's paw saying I love Florida!

We ate at Giordanos at lake buena vista. We tried it as I'd got a resturant.com coupon for $25 off (cost $2 for the coupon) DH loves piza - first time trying the chicago style. We called ahead the order as the large deep dish pizzas take time to cook. Pizza was good - we had lots to bring home with us. Cost us $18 inc tip plus the coupon - we had salad and garlic bread aswell.

Today Thursday was alot cooler - most people wearing hooded tops.

We went to Universal - our first time there since 2003. We arrived 9.30 and stayed until closing at 5pm.

Longest we waited was 10 mins for Shrek and Simpsons.

DD enjoyed the animal show and fievals playground. She also liked meeting donkey from Shrek.

We ended up at steak and shake for tea which was ok - cost $25 plus tip and then a quick stop at Walmart for a restock of food for the room.

I like the look of the drinks in Margaritaville :thumbsup2
Is that where the food and cream pics are from also?

Hearing a few good reports from Steak N Shake, may give it a try next time
