First, the internet here is the worst it's ever been-so unpredictable on whether it works. I'll try for a few observations. First, my experience having forgotten all my DME material, but I didn't have any checked luggage. First the CM at DME told me to go to the counter and get a voucher printed out, although she saw I had the Magic Band. Then when the CM at the counter told me I didn't need anything printed and I went back to tell the first CM (the one who'd told me to go to the counter), she said "I know-I wondered why you wanted to take the time to go to the counter." Second, concerning the MBs-just an observation, although I'm at a resort testing them and I would think that means that everyone here would have one, only about half the guests are wearing them. Check in-for the first time, I did the online check in, since I had the magic band, it seems to be part of the whole thing to do online check in. Well, on line check in certainly didn't cut down my time at check in, at least this time. Maybe it helps other people, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. My room-this time I am close to an elevator, 2 doors away. Although it's not a limited savannah view, it IS pool view, it's so convenient to the elevator to Mara, and also there's a lovely bench right outside my room to overlook the savannah (I'll post a photo later if I can). Last night I went on the Boma and Jiko tour. They don't ask where you're staying and I'd recommend it to anyone. At Boma we had a little cup of carrot-ginger soup and a zebra dome. At Jiko we had the Taste of Africa, about 6 of them were out for 20 of us (some little children) to share. Now I know how Naan differs at Jiko from Sanaa. My refrigerator works fine. My coffee cup this morning was bigger than the usual tiny Jambo coffee cups. All refillable mugs at Mara were the RIFD ones.

Like 240 odd days for us until we are at JaMbO, but dang this sure does catch my interest :)

Keep the posts coming :)

The mugs at Mara are now RIFD. And the push buttons don't work unless you sit your mug ON the platform underneath. I never did that, so it took some getting used to for me. Even for plain water you've got to set the cup down or the button won't work. Today, pick up the ceramic piece I painted in Simba's Cib House yesterday. I can't wait to see it after it's been fired! This morning, before 8:00, I watched a woman "reserve" pool chairs. She came out, put towels, a pool noodle, and a child's life vest, on the row of chairs closest to the pool, then left. Even the lifeguards weren't there yet. I wonder when the lifeguards come, they'll think it's left over from last night, and remove it. That would fix her!

Hi, are you in Value or standard?

I've done the Boma Jiko tour a few times, and still find it interesting. Our next Jambo stay is in January.:goodvibes

I'm glad your frig works fine!

Are you still finding the USA Today's? We did get them, not by the door, but in a pile by the elevator when we were there in July.

I'm in a standard this trip. I kind of wish I'd saved points and gone for a value, but they're so hard to get. And the convenience to the elevator is terrific. Yes, the USA Todays are still at the benches by the elevator. They're not delivered to the room like they once were, but at least we can still get them.

240 days till we are back at Jambo too! We are in a standard studio too! Hoping for a pool view close to the lobby!

Hi we are going to be at BLT in 4 days. Are the parks crowded? thanks!

I didn't go into the parks, since I'm "between" Annual Passes. However, I did ask some CMs, and they all said that it was busier than previous years. But if you go to the ToTW lounge (I did) and don't want to see the fireworks, there's no one there. I went from about 6:30-7:30, on a night when Wishes was at 10:00, and had the place to myself. Great place to watch football on TV if you like football. Unfortunately, I don't!
