Live from Hilton Head June 15th-25th 2008, Anyone Else?

We made it this morning. We had a great time at the pool today. We are in 2813 and love the room. We will hit the beach tomorrow. May be we will see some people at the camp fire tonight.

Sounds like you're having a great time! I was wondering-how do you like the location of your villa, on the top floor of the main lodge? We've been up there near 1134 several times and we love it-great views, and so nice for the convenience to Big Murgie's Den (a spot I love to visit)? Although we enjoy being up there, I met someone once whose villa was in the main lodge and they didn't like it-they really preferred being out in other buildings. Enjoy yourself-I'm jealous you're there and we're not.

We like being in Live Oak Lodge. The resort is small enough that the walk from their to the pool, Community hall, etc is not to long...just very pleasant. The view of Broad Creek was nice, though with a three year old we didn't wander out on the balcony too often.

This was our second trip to HHI and both times be stayed in the Lodge, so I can't compare this location to others. I can't imagine not enjoying any location within the Resort. We are already planning our return for 2009!

Paula - it was nice meeting you and talking with you throughout the week. You're the first Disser my wife and I have met (at least knowingly)! Thanks also for the magnet - we returned it to your door Sunday morning just before we checked out. So, 13 hours later, around midnight last night, we returned home.

Yes, we sure did get rained out last night! We enjoyed the pool today. We are in 1823. Room is really nice--no complaints whatsoever! I am sitting by the pool now--trying to catch up on my emails. I can't get the wireless in our villa and this morning the sun just wouldn't cooperate with my screen before the battery died. LOL

I made magnets for everyone--(18 of them). Tomorrow the boys and my sister's family are going kayaking---I'll be at the pool. Just need to remember the sunscreen---I forgot it today

What do you think would be a good meeting place. I printed a couple of blank signs that say Dis Meet on them. I was going to post it at the rental booth by the pool. Have any suggestions? I found out today they don't do the mixear anymore.

It's great to see that you are here. Thank you so much for the magnet...it's so cute and was so thoughtful of you to make. I already met somebody from Kentucky, I'm wondering if it might have been you.

Let us know if you do meet...we are going to the American games tonight and maybe we'll find eachother. There are eight of us...four are kids, 3 boys and 1 girl.

It wasn't me. I would have asked if you Dis. I am glad I remembered the room number--I signed off thinking that was it and then 2nd guessed myself and didn't want to turn the computer back on. We leave in the morning and are going to spend the day in Savannah before our plane ride back home.

How did you like that wicked storm last night? That thunder and lightning was something else. We ate dinner last night at Marley's and it just started to sprinkle as we were leaving and then the sky opened up. We were soaked getting from our car to our room.

We are at the resort pool today. I have a stack of magnets with me if any of you disers are reading today. I usually have my straw hat on with a black ribbon. Enjoy your day

It must be Summer, the afternoon storms have arrived!

Yes, we survived. You all had really bad storms in Savannah the other day. I saw on the news where there was a church pretty torn up. We will be enjoying your city tomorrow. I think we are going to hang out on the river walk.

We spent a couple of hours on the River Walk. It was a nice way to pass the time. Next time we are in Savannah, we are foing to take one of the trolley tours.


Hope everyone is having a great time at the resort. It was a little sad leaving today. We had breakfast at Signe's--it was really good. Had the blueberry french toast and bought a few of the poundcakes to give as gifts.

OK Paula, we got rained out last night!! What to do now?? We are staying in the lodge 1128. Let us know My DH thinks you DH is shooting pool right behind me as I type, so I might just ask him . Hope everyone is having a great trip!!!

We checked into room 1128 on the 22nd! Didn't you love that view! Loved the deck, it was huge. We saw 2 dolphins swimming by while sitting on the deck and we also saw the most awesome lightening storm. It was incredible. Better than any fireworks display!

That was by far the best room we have had at HH for a one bdrm! The view was incredible! Our only complaint was that it was a little noisy with the a/c units but who really cares We ate breakfast out on the deck and supper many nights.

Wow, we were right above you in 1138! We LOVED that balcony also! We saw one dolphin, many turtles with babies, and those lightning storms were impressive. So glad they only happend at night so we could have clear days of fun. We ate out on the balcony often. Sorry if we were ever noisy!! I know one evening I was trying to quiet the gang and was sure that we were going to have the front desk cm's up here soon asking for quiet. It was a great week. We can't wait to do it again next year.
