All I can say is WOW. THis hotel is great. We checked in around 1:45 today. We reserved a standard view room, and Somehow(?) we got an upgrade to Park view. We are on the 5th floor, directly over the pool looking out onto Paradise pier. It is 9:45pm and the park closed at 8, but it looks like something is going on, the coaster is running and people are screaming.
We got to go to Disneyland for about 2 hours, we rode Casey Jr and The Carousel. We then went to Goofys Kitchen for Dinner ( A big Disappointment) The food wasn't that good, and whats up with the pay first deal, it was a little insulting.
My 7yr old son Andrew and I then went into Cal Adventure and rode Soarin over Cali 2 times in 20 minutes, there was no line.

Hi George! That's great about your room, that's the same view I had a few weeks ago!

That "pay first" rule must be new at Goofy's Kitchen, someone else mentioned that recently. That is pretty bizarre! I'm sorry that it wasn't so great, the last time we went (which was a while ago) it was the best character meal we'd ever done. Glad you got to do Soarin' two times already, we managed to ride that about six times in one day a few weeks ago...my 7 year old loves it!
