Live from Disney! (with pics)

You guys rock! :disrocks: :disrocks: :disrocks:
We leave in a week for our first Disney Magic experience! You have made my great anticipation for our upcoming cruise WAY more eventful.....and I thank you! :wave2:

I'll be sure and let the crew onboard know (I took down all of their names and where the work) that I followed your thread and that, of course, :disrocks: .

Thanks again, :flower: DIS NURSE :flower:

Cass and Rob, you have made my day every day for the past couple of weeks with your trip reports! I had plans to go to MNSSHP this year but wasn't able to, but thanks to your report I felt like I was there with you! Hope your are both feeling better and can't wait to see the pix on your website (which is awesome, by the way!!).

Take care-- I'll bet you've already planned how you're going to scrap this, haven't you?? I'd love to hear about any cool scrappin' stuff you may have picked up on the trip! :sunny: :flower: pirate:

I am so sad that your trip is over. I check this thread everyday and could not wait to hear what you were doing. It was like watching a reality show about Disney. I am sorry to hear that you were sick the last days of this wonderful vacation. I hope you have a safe trip home. I can't wait to read more about your vacation on your website!

I too have been lurking for the past 3 weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed reading about all of your adventures. :goodvibes

I hope you both get to feeling better SOON!!

Good luck with TTC (trying to conceive). I know you two will be the best parents a child could ever have.

Have a safe flight back tonight!

Thank you both for sharing your vacation with us! Hope you both feel better soon and have a safe trip back home!

WOW. What a FABULOUS report! :cheer2: We were on the same cruise with you guys, and I saw you so many times I was dying to run up & say hi! I've been a fan of yours for quite a while, and have pm'd you before to let you know how much I enjoy your site! When you guys were having your pirate portraits made we were walking by, and I started to take some photos for you with my camera, to send to you later, but my 4yo dd decided to have another breakdown! It's the thought that counts I guess! ;)

I hate that you guys were sick, but it seemed like many of us were. We had 4 families in our group, and 3 of the 4 women got sick (& my 4yo dd), and I'm actually going on day 12 of it! Per the Dr. it is "bronchitis & acute sinusitis".... I'm on antibiotics for 10 days and just waiting for my voice to come back! I hope you guys are feeling better.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful trip report, and for the many hours that I know you devoted to it. It truly does make me relive each day of our cruise (& the week at the parks before!), as it was just absolutely fabulous. I can NOT wait to go again! (Just don't tell my dh! :rolleyes1 ) We were celebrating our 10th anniversary on board, but it seems like you two were celebrating your 1st because your love seems so strong! May you always have that deep love for each other! And with your strong determination, I have no doubt that you will have no problems making a family. We suffered from infertility for 5 years, and went through numerous infertility treatments before we finally had our angel, Kendall, and every bit of the pain & suffering was worth it. Just stay positive and keep the faith!! :sunny:

BTW...was anyone interested in still exchanging photo cds from the cruise? I would LOVE to do that! I took alot of photos, and downloaded each night, but there's no way I took as many as you did! :earseek:

Thanks again guys! This was absolutely the BEST trip report ever!

Cass & Rob,

Hope you guys had a good flight and are feeling better!! Can't wait to check out the website!!

safe home...:) It was wonderful to "go away" with you two:)

Thanks so much :goodvibes

:sunny:

Cass & Rob ...

I also hope you had an uneventful trip back home and had a wonderful reunion with your boys! :grouphug: Were you able to get into see your Doctor today?

I think everyone is waiting for a little bit of closure and we're hanging around for one last post from this virtual WDW vacation we all took with you. No need to rush, we but hope you're feeling a little better and getting a little snuggle time. :cloud9:

:worship: Thank you again for each and every post that you made - even when you were both not feeling well. It was a fun journey.

Hi guys,

this will be real quick...

Rob and I made it back somehow, it was a very rough flight home. There were about half a dozen of people on our flight that sounded as sick as we were. Rob really took a turn for the worse on Tuesday morning, he lost his voice and started coughing as much as I was.

I felt my worst on Tuesday as well, I was this close to going to a hospital in Orlando but even though I had travel insurance, I didn't want to deal with the whole situation. We were up all night coughing last night and we were at the doctor by 9:30 this morning. We waited two VERY LONG hours to see a doc and after $140 worth of antibiotics, throat spray and some prednisone, we finally made it back home after a quick stop at Safeway.

Doc said it could be a strain of influenza, possibly with a <add some schmancy doctory type word here) cough. He took some swabs and gave us some cough syrup as well.

I am very dizzy and in need of a gigantic nap...so that's where I am headed!

I will post a final thoughts post when I am feeling better and add a few more photos just to tie it all up for ya.

Then next week, I will start with some updates to my site.

Thanks for all your concern, it's much appreciated. I will try to answer all posts/e-mail when I am feeling better.

We are back home safe and sound with our two kitties and our puppers so we are A-OK!!

Am so glad you got to a doctor and send you a lot of pickie dust to send the bugs away. Get a lot of rest and you are up to your old self soon. Really loved this who thread and looking forward to when you update your web site.

Thanks so much for the update Cass! I'm sorry to hear that you're both still not feeling better, but hopefully now that you're under a doctor's care and back home, you'll feel more comfortable. Thanks for checking in with your best Dis'er friends! Get some well needed rest and we look forward to your next post! :) :) Pleasant dreams!

Thanks for the update...I hope you and Rob are feeling better soon. Here is some pixie dust for a quick recovery!!! :wizard:

Oh my, I was hoping to here you both were staring to feel better. Chicken soup, that's the ticket, that's what my mother always fed us when we were sick like you are. During the winter months, it seemed as though my mom was making homemade chicken soup, several times a month. With five kids running around the house, one of us was bound to be sick.

Take Care, get plenty of rest, and drink fluids, besides eating chicken soup, that is!!! I hope you both start feeling better real soon!!!

I hope you two feel better soon. Get some much needed rest and cuddle time and we will look forward to hearing from you when you are feeling better.

Yes...take it easy and update us when you get the chance. It was wonderful reading your trip report. If you need something to cheer you up...read the Tenorsings live thread that has been going on for the last week. She's funny! Can't wait to see the rest of your pics!

Hi everyone!
Hope you are all feeling better than we are. I seem to be on the mend a bit faster than Cass right now.
I wanted to do something special as a final "thank-you" to everyone here as well as a surprise for my lovely wife.
Here is our LAST day :D

Wednesday November 2

Well, we slept in a bit after staying up coughing most of the night. The night before I had my last Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich and it was soooo good! :mickeybar
Cass had a few bites of it too but she has been much sicker than I.

Anyways, I went and got some breakfast from Roaring Forks and then started taking out our baggage a little at a time. I wanted to get the WL Totem Pole note/picture holder as well as a blanket for our trip; so I grabbed that on the way out to the truck. I got the green soft blanket for the trip as Cass really didn't like the tapestry throw but I love it; maybe next trip. It was supposed to be a surprise for her on the flight since airplane blankets suck and I knew she would use but she seen me repacking it in our carryon at the airport. I really can't hide anything from her anyways; lets just say I suck at fibbing to her and hiding stuff; she ALWAYS finds out not matter how hard I try it seems.

We headed to DownTown Disney for one last look at what to buy for ourselves and got our last bits of souveniers.
Of course, we had to have one more pizza at WolfGang; but when you're sick nothing really tastes the same.
Day22-1.jpg

Cass then went to check out some other stores and get some pictures. I went over to AMC to look for the Themepark background music (more later on this) and she took more pictures of Westside. I didn't find the music unfortunately as Disney has stopped selling the BackGround Music (BGM) to the parks pretty much as they are all being slowly updated. We listen to Live365 all the time; usually to MouseWorld Radio 2 or x2; so we know ALL the music and its one of the things that makes Disney so magical for us.
So, off we went to the truck to head to the airport. I took one last picture of Cass in one of my favorite DD places, DisneyQuest! We did it in 1999 & 2000 and hope to be back soon someday.
Day22-2.jpg

At the airport, Cass found a Kennedy Space Centre Store not far from a DisneyStore; so I had to pick up some NASA stuff since we don't know when we'll be back. I LOVE NASA, so I got an autographed book, a wicked T-Shirt 2006 Calendar, and a hat.

Day22-4.jpg

We were on a Westjet flight 907 via a 737-700 with satellite TV. I watched a lot of TV as their was no movies being shown; pretty much Space channel for 3 hrs and CityTV for 2Fast 2Furious.
Cass did NOT have a good flight home as she said, it was a real rough 5.5hrs for her. She tried to sleep but just couldn't but she thanked me for buying the blanket and it made a good pillow.

After we landed we walked what seemed like forever to Canadian customs from the D wing to C wing.
We met up with my Parents (thanks again for dropping off the car M&D!) and had coffee with them for 20min and gave them some souveniers from Discovery Cove (Dad likes his large coffee mugs and Mom loves anything with Dolphins; so I got her a deck of dolphin playing cards).
What did we come home too, you may ask. Take a look...
Day22-5.jpg

- You can see Cass' "Doom Bugy" and Tzar on the front standing in the front entry. This picture is from this evening, so we actually had some snow melt since last night.

And of course, there is always the dreaded unpacking; especially when you have supervision. Lots of laundry to do now!
Day22-6.jpg

So, with that being said and done; that is our trip.
Time for me to unpack and for us to get better.
Thanks again to everyone for tagging along and enjoying what we did and had to say.
May you all have your own magical vacations ahead and God Bless you all!

A note to Cass:
Thanks for planning such a great trip love and I'm sorry we're sick at the end of it but we made the best of it and it was still a blast! I am very much looking forward to starting our family together and you know you can count on me to the end; remember... you married me! :D
(Not sure why sometimes... but thanks!) I'm looking forward to even more Disney trips together and wanted to thank you for letting me tag along on this thread with you and being able to work together in what we have to say.
It was fun doing this with you and I am SO looking forward to seeing your scrapbooks and videos! Get well soon lover and have fun with our memories!

And for the rest of you, don't forget...
:disrocks:

***Darkrobe out!

Cass and Rob,

Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves. In the past 3 weeks you have become "friends" to all of us. So many people have looked forward to your updates, and when you became ill I want you to know there were (are) many out here who have prayed and wished for a speedy recovery for you both.

You and Cass have a way of writing that has really touched the hearts of so many. It is obvious you are both very special people.

Please keep us informed on how you are doing. When you have finally knocked out the silly bug that tried to ruin your wonderful vacation. When you go to sleep tonight in your own cozy bed, may you both dream of warmer days filled with pixie dust and Mickey.

Best wishes for a quick recovery!... babar41 :wizard:
