LIVE from 1/15 Magic!!! Updated 1/18 need PIXIE DUST!

Hello all!

Let me just say Ahhhhhh......

Griffin was taken off isolation around 4:00 yesterday and is feeling great! We are in Cozumel today and it is beautiful!! We went to Paradise Beach and loved it. The cab ride cost $15 and the beach was free w/chair & umbrella. We had a nice lunch there, only $45 for five of us! I met Tom and told him his Disboards fans said hello. We are back on the ship now and the boys are in the clubs. Tonight is the Pirate Party and our rotation puts us in Parrot Cay which will be perfect. They were able to reschedule our Palo from last night to tomorrow night due to Griff's isolation so we are psyched for that!! Thanks for all the pixie dust, I am a firm believer in it as we are all doing great!!

:flower1: :boat: Glad your son is feeling better. Have a great time tonight!!!! And the rest of your cruise!!!! :wizard:

So glad to hear your son is better and that no one else in the family got sick. Hope the rest of the cruise is terrific. Thanks for the posts and keeping us updated!

So happy to hear about your great Cozumel day (one of my personal favorites pirate: )

Best wishes for great sail days on Thursday and Friday!!!!! :grouphug:

Well, the only problem we have now is that we can't get the kids out of the kid's clubs!! I tried so hard to get them to come to the Pirate dinner with us last night but they love eating with the club/lab. I keep reminding myself that it is theur vacation too. I did however tell them that we are taking them to dinner tonight because I want to get a family photo in the atrium. We have Palo at 7:00 tonight so we will just have an app with them. Nice calm seas today and bright sunshine as we head for Castaway Cay. I really hope the weather remains good as it would be a big dissappointment to miss both Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay. So long for now...

kellimomo3,

My family was on the cruise that ended on 1/15/05, and we're missing our wonderful servers something terrible. We were on the PLAPLAP dining rotation. Parrot Cay was our first dinner. If you happen to be on the same rotation, could you walk by table 56 and look for Sylvester and Jira. If you see them, could please say "Hi" from Peyton, Presley and Parker.

Thanks so much in advance,

Penny :grouphug:

Kelli,

Sounds like you will all be very happy at the end of your trip - even with the minor set back of your son being sick. I hope clear skies and calm seas continue to be with you!

I love the trip reports! Keep em coming!

I'm glad you're enjoying your trip! What is the tempature at CC and is it ok for swimming?

I was on the cruise last week and did swim at CC. It was cool when first going in, but not bad after that.

Kelli, after your "special" time together, not getting the kids out of the clubs is the kind of problem you need. Glad everyone is ok and you're having a great time. Hope Castaway is a wonderful day for you all.

Good Morning all!!

It is our last day and I am very dissapointed to say that we were unable to dock at Castaway Cay! The weather is beautiful but the captain said the currents made it impossible after two attempts. We are very sad but making the best of our FOURTH day at sea!!! (No stop at Grand Cayman either) It is a beautiful, sunny 80 degree day. We had an amazing dinner at Palo last night with Sasha as our server again. I just finished up my shopping at Shutters. All in all it has been an amazing vacation even with the dissappointments. We have booked again for New Year's '06 and hopefully we'll hit all the ports that time! Many thanks to all for the invaluable advice I gained from these boards. I will post an in-depth trip report of the two weeks upon our return! Sad to think that next time I post it will be from home in chilly Connecticut!

Even with the disappointments sounds like ya'll have had a great time! Have a great last day and safe trip home :D

From one CT er to another, stay in Floadia,
They say we have 8 to 15 inches of snow on the way in CT.

I take a bad day at sea anyday to advoid the snow :)

kellimomo3 -

I can sooooo relate to your bad luck on this cruise. Last month my son started throwing-up 30 minutes after arriving in Key West. He was put in isolation as well. He became so dehydrated that we had to give him 6+ hours of IV fluids. Thank goodness for the medical staff. They were wonderful. However, due to his illness, we missed Key West and Grand Cayman. We did get off in Cozumel when he was released from isolation. However, after another day, he started feeling sick -- this time with a sinus infection (probably caused from the first illness). He was so miserable at CC. It was not the tripped we planned. We just returned from our "do-over" cruise on the Wonder. It was pretty cold and the seas were rough, but at least we were healthy!

Enjoy your 2006 New Year's Eve cruise. We sailed on the Wonder for NYE last year and it was the best time I've ever had on NYE. DCL throws a great party. You deserve to have some fun! :D
