Day 1 - Arrival Day

Today started off bright and early, rolling out of bed at 4:30 am with only 3 hours of sleep. But knowing that we were going to WDW made everything worth it :goodvibes

Our flights were fairly uneventful, Toronto to Washington DCA and then on to Orlando. We arrived at MCO at 2:30 and were breezing down the beeline expressway by 3pm. The weather was phenomenal, 71 degrees and gloriously sunny without a cloud in the sky.

It was the perfect weather for a picture like this:

We're Home!!

Shortly after passing under those magical gates we pulled in to our true home away from home :lovestruc

Now, 3:30 is prime time for checking in to a resort right? Apparently not today! DDad and I stepped into an absolutely deserted Registration. There were literally 8 Cast Members behind the counter waiting to serve us.

Our check-in was quick and our room was all ready to go.

First Birthday Surprise: An upgrade to a Junior Suite!

We are on the third floor of Casitas 3 with a beautiful waterview.

It's hard to see but the roses are pixie dusted!

Look! A Hidden Mickey!

Our original plans were to have dinner at Chefs de France, but a long story changed that. I promise I'll tell it tomorrow!

Instead of Chefs we ended up at Romano's Macaroni Grill - a Florida favorite of ours!

I apologize, but intense hunger and lack of sleep led to very few pictures of the food.

We returned to the room around 8:30 to find....

Third Birthday Surprise: A Bday Banner!
