Not really. Matt has a legitimate disability and seems to be in a fair amount of pain a good portion of the time. Even if he wasn't in pain at that moment, sitting stationary in that scooter for hours could have been difficult for him. I say (in respect to his disability), since he has to suffer the pain and loss of mobility as a result of his ailments, why not take advantage of bypassing a line when possible. He seems to be deteriorating (mobility-wise), and should get preferential treatment over "healthy people" like us. I would gladly stand in a two hour line over the alternative.

When I saw that German waitress invite Jeremy and Zach to sleep over her house and then introduce her sisters to them, I had visions of that movie - Love Actually.

I really did think that at their age, doing what they did (not having a plan) was a really neat experience for the two of them. There is something to be said for under planning.

i have a disability, and i was offended that he (in his own words) "worked the system" for this purpose.

i find it offensive when people use these accommodations as a means to bypass the lines for their kids and other people with them which is exactly what matt was doing. they had'nt planned on there being the long lines, the family did'nt want to wait and matt had this mindset that the trip had to include the family going up on the eiffel tower so line be damned, he made it happen by using his disability to get all of them line jumped.

this kind of behaviour is why some public places have very restrictive rules about the number of people that can accompany a disabled person in these kind of line jumps.

i think it should be noted as well-apparantly the eiffel tower has a system where you can purchase tickets ahead of time that are time designated so it seems to me that with all the advance planning that matt supposedly did for his portion of the trip, they could have used the same system that's in place for anyone else to avoid long lines to buy ticket and gain access.

Nope,not at all. He has a disability. I'm sure they would do that for anyone with a disability.

I was surprised that Jeremy spoke up and said, the best portion of his trip-was with Zac, and when they didn't have any plans. But the no planning portion of the trip when he was with his whole family sure didn't turn out. They all couldn't agree on anything, and ended up splitting up anyhow.

For some reason, I was very sruprised when he did that. I had to watch it again when it was re-run later to make sure I heard it right.

I think Matt and Amy aren't really together anymore. They seem so distant. When Jeremy and Zac arrived, there were hugs all around. When Matt arrived everyone seemed stand offish, except for Jacob.

I do think the part where they stay at the German family's house was set up by the producers. Now whether or not the boys knew what was going on, I just don't know.

people with disabilities including some "little people" (not all are disabled, the designation is based on height which means some individuals with this designation while short in stature do not have medical disabilities) do have limitations, but in this case the limitation was one of poor planning. matt wanted the family to do the eiffel tower and whomever planned the outing did'nt take into consideration that it's a popular destination with a wait.

the use of the disabled access was'nt to accommodate matt accessing the tower, it was to accommodate the family jumping ahead of the other people who were waiting in line.

i doubt that many little people want the public perception of how they deal with the world to be that they openly admit to working the system.

I really don't know if I could of toured the concentration camp. I give them credit for sticking it out.

DH and I visited Dachau back in the 90's. It was an eye opening experience and I actually hope to take my teens there soon. But it can be tough.

I missed the show last night so I missed the front of the line thing. I don't know how obnoxious he was about it. I do have to say though, that I have a few friends with disabilities. Honestly when they get to bring friends along on any "perks" they get from their disability, it seems to make them very happy. Sort of like they are "giving back." Matt knows he slows down his family, when he gets them front of the line priviliges he probably feels good about being able to provide that for them.

I think if he didn't make it so obvious (by saying it) he was working the system, if it wasn't said they only had one day and didn't want to wait in line (after he said things like being at butt level, but that wasn't the original reasons given) it would have been different. Saying he didn't want to wait in line because they had limited time and he was going to try to work the system, just left a bad taste in my mouth, and made it hard to enjoy the rest of the show.

Two weeks ago, Monday night actually (04-05) they were on Jay Leno and they seemed totally together and it was a FAB interview. I read this week they will be on the Chelsea Handler show as well. So, I am guessing they are fine.

BUT on that note, I will say I agree with many of you that say they seem so disconnected. Its not fun to watch when everyone is arguing about everything little thing all the time. AND for me, Jacob, p.i.t.a., he should have stayed home in Oregon with Matt's parents ... he is to young to appreciate a European trip.

Two weeks ago, Monday night actually (04-05) they were on Jay Leno and they seemed totally together and it was a FAB interview. I read this week they will be on the Chelsea Handler show as well. BUT on that note, I will say I agree with many of you that say they seem so disconnected. Its not fun to watch when everyone is arguing about everything little thing all the time. AND for me, Jacob, p.i.t.a., he should have stayed home in Oregon with Matt's parents ... he is to young to appreciate a European trip.

They toured Europe last summer.
Monday's nite show was filmed in February.
They said they have been working on Zac's Little People World Soccer Tour.
You could tell, they put together pieces for the whole show.
Especially when Amy walked into Matt's office and told his assistant to leave, she needed to talk with Matt.
I think Amy was a lot more upset, than what was actually shown.
The whole soccer situation didn't make any sense.
I knew Amy was upset, but then she said, "she just wanted to make sure Zac's team got to Ireland."
