PAGE 171, POST 12

The yearly pumpkin stand opened up near our home 2 weeks ago and it had me thinking of the Roloff's. I am ready for the new season, it seems like they haven't been on for a very long time.

THANK GOSH there back. I love watching before we go to the pumpkin patch. Were going in one week!

I like this show and I'm looking forward to the new seasons tonight. :)

Tanya, I went to a "pick your own apples" farm today and they had pumpkins, hayrides, etc and it reminded me of pumpkin season on Roloff Farm.

Did anyone watch last night....what is going on with Matt and Amy? I hope this is not another tv reality couple on the verge of breaking up. :confused3

It's definitely becoming clear that being busy raising a family is a lot of what held their marriage together. Now they are realizing that they want different things and I think they are both less willing to compromise. Matt almost seems resigned to it happening eventually, and it's just a matter of time before Amy makes the decision. This is going to be a very challenging year for her especially. It looks like Zach is going to need some sort of surgery, so that may prolong it. I don't see it being an overnight decision. They may just end up as one of those couples who accept having grown apart, but just remain married and go off and do their own thing.

Ohhh...I saw that in the previews...do you think that is routine surgery OR he had an accident?

Amy just seemed rather sad last night...a challenging year as the twins graduate and move on AND I think she is frustrated with Matt over their finances. Wanting to finish that castle and buying that throne and all that armour and those swords...:sad2: Had to be costly.

So funny about that PLEATHER coat Amy had made for Zach which he "conveniently" left at home. :lmao: That just was ugly IMHO!

I was unable to watch but have them recorded. I certainly hope that Matt & Amy are not having anything more than normal marital differences that they have always had. J & K breaking up is bad enough, I don't want to see this happen to the Roloff's as well.

Awwww, I missed it. :guilty:

During their last season, there was a lot of tension between Matt and Amy.There was one episode (during the major house remodel), Amy made a remark that they should seperate. I was hoping that since they hadn't been on air for awhile, they would have worked out there differences.

I remember way back when they were first on TV before the show really aired, that Amy wasn't all too happy with Matt.

No worries if you missed it...TLC repeats Little People quite a bit throughout the week. :thumbsup2

My gut feelings probably don't mean much, but I have a gut feeling that Matt and Amy really love each other and have just been in a rut for a long time. I definitely don't see them as a "Jon and Kate"-type couple, thank God. (Those two make my stomach turn).

Hopefully, with the kids being almost grown up, they'll have more alone time to rekindle the fire. They're such different personalities, but with some counseling, they can learn how to better understand each other and learn to compromise. I love this family, and I"m so glad they're back on TV.

One solution, maybe, is for them to sell the farm when the kids move out. They can make a pretty penny, buy a smaller place that still has land that won't cost so much for upkeep, and Matt's "projects" can be limited to his little people products business.

I can't ever see Matt doing that.
he always has to have some sort of project going.

and in the previews i saw that matts going to need spinal surgery in the next 6 months, so mabey that will keep them together longer.

What is the youngest sons name.
I think Amy tries really hard to make Zac's life as normal as possible and Zac really doesn't care. I think Zac would have gone to the formal in his shorts, if his mom would have let him. I thought Amy took him to a seamstress and then they showed her cutting his pants down and pinning them up. They never did show her sewing them, unless she took those to a seamstress to get hemmed.

Anyone watch last night?

I sure was glad to see Matt didn't kill himself on the slopes, if I had been Amy I think I may have hurt him just for thinking of going.:lmao: It sounds like the spinal surgery Matt needs is very serious so I can certainly understand why he wanted to go. Totally don't blame him there at all.

There was talk last week of the marriage being in trouble given the conversation they had at the restaurant. I think Amy loves Matt, he just really frustrates her.

I'm on break at work right now, so I have to be brief, but I'm HOPING that what we're seeing now on tv, has improved.. I say this because the episodes we're seeing NOW, were filmed LAST SUMMER and LAST FALL/WINTER (2008/going into 2009).

Last summer 2008 is when they went on the riverboat and Matt and Amy weren't happy with each other. I'm hoping that right now, October 2009, things are fine between them, but we probably won't find that out for a while.

Keep in mind, Zach and Jeremy graduated high school in June of 2009 and are now IN college, if they did indeed decide to go to college. So we're basically watching their lives from a year ago.

I like this family a lot, and hope they get through their rough patches. ::yes::

When Amy and Matt went out to eat, I think she mentioned that the twins would be graduating in 7 months.
Plus last nite was their last soccer game.
At least Matt showed up to the game again
and Amy was cordial with him.

Last January, Amy and the kids did a speaking engagement somewhere, and both Zack and Jeremy were undecided yet with college plans. In Wisconsin, you have to get applications in by the beginning of February for Public colleges. For private colleges, early is best, but some will let you register anytime, but if housing is a problem, then earlier is better. I'm surprised it wasn't leaked out, if the boys went to college.

Jacob! :thumbsup2

I was :scared1: watching Matt on those skiis...but I was rooting for him. He is such the RISK TAKER but heck you only go around once...grab for all the gusto!!! ::yes::

Yes, I am wondering also where the Twins are now in school???

I felt so badly for Matt being in all that pain...poor guy. :sad1:

I really love Matt and Amy and I so hope they can work out any differences they may have...like Sea Spray said, every couple has rough patches...if would be sad to see them go their separate ways.

Every single time I watch that show it seems that Jeremy and Molly are getting TALLLLLER and TALLLLLLER and to have Amy and Matt as parents just boggles my NON genetic mind. :goodvibes

That surgery for Matt is scary as heck...possibility of being paralyzed...:sad1:
