This is absolutely FANTASTIC, and I hope Disney keeps it up in LESS CROWDED parts of the year. I think my three year old died and went to heaven. His favorite is Peter Pan and Wendy. He got to ride Peter Pan WITH Peter Pan. I know it will be all he talks about. He did not want to go anywhere else but right at Peter's side. They played all sorts of games and had great interaction! We saw Minnie, Mickey, Daisey all playing games with the kids. Stitch was a permanent fixture on Dumbo I think! Snow White was riding her ride with kids. My son also got to ride the teacups WITH Alice. The experience will be one he will absolutely never forget!! There were very low crowds both days we were there, and lots of characters out. We even saw Tigger GET STUCK in a slide in Pooh's Place. Don't think that was meant to happen! The characters really weren't sgning autographs, but that was completely fine with us, because who wants an autograph, when you can play red light green light with Captain Hook!!!

sorry i dont know much about this, do you need to be staying onsite too do the little ones magic hour and when does this happen? and have you got any pics?? :wizard:

Yes, you need to be staying onsite. I know when we were there in August, they had it about 3 times during the week and it is 1 hour before the park offiially opens. It was a really nice time. There were lots of characters and they were interacting so much with the children. Besides riding the rides with them, they were playing games like duck, duck, goose, simon says, etc. It was nice that they didn't do autographs because then they were able to focus on the interaction with the children more.

I think it ends 9/30 and I also hope they do it again.

It actually ends on 9/29 because if is oinly done on certain days of the week- so Friday the 29th will be the last day. I think they may try it again next year if they feel it has been successful- they did do the free dining again.

I think it is sponsored by Playschool... I think its repetition will have to do with whether or not Playschool wants to dish out more sponsorship.

We did this this morning and my kids loved it. They placed games with Peter Pan and Wendy for almost the whole hour. And then Peter wanted to take my girls and son on his ride but my girls chickened out. So he took my 2 year old son on the ride. I was a little nervous because he is only two and has never been on the ride before but I rode in the car behind and he absolutely loveddddddddd it! I would recommend this to anyone staying on property with younger kids.

This sounds wonderful! Do they give you any chances to take pictures or were you just taking candids? This sounds like a great photo op!

More like candids. It is focused on character interaction rather than photo ops and autographs. I was really happy that they did it this way. I think the children will remember more the interaction. This is not to say that the characters didn't pose for some pics, but they just focused on talking to the children and playing games. They would tell those children who wanted pics and autographs where they could find them later to get them. Lets face it, it would be hard to play the games and do the formal pics and autographs.
