Can anyone tell me how this worked last year. If I go with my sister, who has two young children - will they let our whole family in? How do they put limits on who can enter the park at that time?

We are all staying on property, but at different resorts, as we couldn't get the same resort, but we'd like to be able to travel around together.

In my experience, last September, the Little Ones moniker doesn't mean anything. They let everyone in for Extra Magic Hours. It is for families, after all. You should be fine.

PP is correct. They won't turn you away if you don't have small children with you. That would be very un-Disneylike, after all. The only requirement is that you're staying at a qualifying Disney Resort hotel. Go and have a great time.

So does it get crowded with older kids? I know I want my teen boys to go with us but we're going for my toddler dd. If they let everyone in how do they keep it focused on the littles?

Keep in mind it's only Fantasyland that is open one hour earlier than the rest of the park, so most families with older kids won't even want to bother showing up for it. When we there last year Fantasyland was not very crowded during this time AT ALL. All the LO's seemed to be getting lots of character interactions. It was really great!

Oh, okay... that makes sense. I know without our little dd we wouldn't bother to go early if it's just Fantasyland. Thanks, I can't wait to see my dd interact with the characters.
