My 10 yo dd and I shopped in this store on 5th Ave in NYC last w/end. It is a fun store! Very expensive, though. I spend over $100 on a long scarf, hat and gloves for her. The knit quality is excellent, not at all "chincy".

If you don't want to have "mismatched" socks, just buy 2 identical sets. Then you will have 3 sets of socks. (They come 3 to a bunch.)

We went on the the Am Girl Doll store, the Hershey store, ........ ;)

Sounds like you had a fun shopping trip in the "big city".

My DD7 is a big fan of wearing two different color socks. I asked her once if she wanted the same color socks to wear to school that day - she looked at me like I had 3 heads and asked "why would I do that?". I guess she figures she has 2 feet so that's 2 opportunities for color.

She's been this way since she was a toddler and started picking out her own stuff. I gave up long ago trying to get her to match. Now, it's actually a blessing - you never have to stress that you can find matching socks in the laundry! Just take 2 clean ones and go!

I'm sure she would love this store!
