Little Mermaid ride?

I saw a Little Mermaid ride on Utube that was said to be in DCA. Its not listed, and I've never heard of it before. What's up with this?

The Little Mermaid ride is in WDW. There is however, a ride that is suppose to be built in DCA in the upcoming renovations over the next few years. From what I have heard, it is going to be located somewhere around where the Golden Dreams theater is currently located now.

As far as ive heard.. Its in the works for the DCA Refurb.

Dont expect to see it for a while.

im not sure if its at WDW but im been told its taken from the Newly released Little Mermaid DVD that just came out not long ago.

THeres lots of news going around about it actually. The bathroom at Golden Dream is suppose to be expanded but the Little Mermaid ride is too big to have a bathroom there...

What I saw on Utube may have been a ride that has not opened yet, in fact, if you watch it, it appears to be computer gen., and is narrated by someone from Disney. This may just be the prototype, and is in the works for DCA. Because I'm sure they said it was DCA.
Would love to see it with my grandaughter (15mo), who is already a fan of Ariel.

Actually there is no Little Mermaid ride at WDW. DHS does have Voyage of the Little Mermaid but it is more of a show and not an actual ride. I wish WDW did have a Little Mermaid ride. I would be on it all the time. It's my favorite Disney movie of all time.

Ok. Let's clarify here.

There are 2 different ride concepts being thrown around here. The one you saw on Youtube came from the Little Mermaid DVD. It was planned for DLR (I don't know which park) a while back, but was never built. So as a bonus on the DVD, they included a concept video of a ride that was never built.

The second Little Mermaid ride concept will be built at DCA in a couple of years, replacing Golden Dreams. It will be a different ride system (omnimover like Haunted Mansion) and will be much larger in size than the ride in the Youtube video.

As PP said, there is no Little Mermaid ride at WDW. There is a very well done show though.

as far as I know, the one on the little mermaid DVD was actually meant for DLP. it was shelved long before the DCA announcements were even made.

whether it'll be the same, I don't know. my guess is it probably will be. they were really close to making the DLP version and everyone seems to love the concept from the DVD

It's o.k. I wish you were right though. WDW is our home park and I would love love love for it to have an actual ride themed around Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder and the gang!

Wow! If/when they get around to it, they are going to REALLY overhaul that whole side of DCA...I liked it when we were there, but I guess there is always room for improvement.

I know we were so excited to ride this ride after seeing the new DVD just before our WDW trip and were very dissapointed when it was just a show. Can't wait for it to come to DCA as we will not be going to back to WDW for a longgggggg time if ever. We just prefer DLR and DCA
