Little Mermaid movie

Hi. I know the Little Mermaid DVD is coming out soon, and I was wondering if there is any benefit to buying it at DW over buying it here at home. (Do they have something extra?). I'm going in December and don't mind waiting (we have VHS) if there is something special about getting it at the park.

Any advice?

I don't know but I would guess not. We bought High School Musical there when it was released and it was no big deal at all. There was just a little stand at the cash register in the stores.

I'm curious about this too...we were at the World when Snow White was released the first time on DVD, and it seems like I recall being able to receive something extra for purchasing there, but I'm not positive (we didn't purchase it).

Usually the releases at Disney World are NO DEAL (we're talking only retail price- which is usually absurd to begin with) and the chances they'll give away a freebie is pretty small. Even if they do, it will be only for the first week- there is no way they'll give out something after it's been out for 3 months.

Your best bet is to shop around the Sunday ads the week that the DVD comes out (released on Tuesday Oct 3rd). This is one of the biggest releases in years, and Disney always has freebies and deals with their Platinum releases. Best Buy usually has the best ones- they had a stuffed tramp for Lady & the Tramp and a lithograph for Cinderella.

Save yourself some money and get a freebie at the same time - shop the ads and not at DW.

It's preorder at all the Disney stores..you get a coupon for $10 off a purchase when you get the movie and you get a set of 4 lithographs....
