Earlier this year I found a thread that listed little known fun things you can do at Disney. It had things like waking tinkerbell, starting the fireworks, vets in the flag ceremony, where to buy drinks that gave souvenier cups or straws..... just alot of fun stuff like that. Anyone know where I can find that? We leave in 12 days and Im just now planning. :surfweb:

Does anyone know where I can find the info on the little known things to do at disney... I can only remember some and I really need to find it soon. My son is being given a make a wish trip to Disney and I want to make it as magical as I can! We leave in 12 days. Please help

I got a free email report with a bunch of free things you can find in the parks at http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com/15FreeThings.html

I don't remember them all but there were things like:
* Getting a first Roller Coaster ride at Goofy's Barnstormer
* The campfire sing-along and outdoor movie at Ft. Wilderness
* Free velcro frog from Innoventions
* Free soda samples at Club Cool
* Sending animated e-postcards - my favorite was the one at Mission Space
* Watching the Disney scenes in the window displays at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom

Love the secret tips, im noting them all for my trip in Feb, keep them comming! There is so much I didnt know.

Thanks for sharing

I don't have anything to add right now, but I hope you and your family have a magical time!!

My kids received a "frequent flyer" card when they rode the Barnstormer 2 times in a row....they were excited..

I wish I'd known about that! My 18 year old daughter and I rode Goofy's Barnstormer five or six times one night during Wishes.

Here's something I've heard about but haven't actually seen - the Disney transportation (buses, boats, etc) have transportation cards that are like baseball cards that you can get from the driver. I've heard conflicting things - 1.) that you can ask for them and 2.) that the drivers are only supposed to give them when a child is upset or being especially good. Does anyone know for sure?

As of last year, they gave out cards to those who asked for them. I'd heard they may not have them every year, but they had them last year and we colllected cards from boats, busses and monorials.

You can also asked to ride in the front of the Monorail, which is lots of fun

I definetely know what you are talking about last week we went over a list like say George 3 times in Pirates of the Caribeann and your ride will stop. I can't find that either ;( But I am definetely going to keep checking this thread...

This isn't really a secret but my kids did the Kidcot stations at Epcot. In the Japan & China pavilions, the CMs were from those countries. They wrote my kids' names in Chinese or Japanese on their Kidcot project which my kids thought was seriously cool.

My husband and I rented a kayak at the Port Orleans Riverside resort for 30 minutes - it was around $10, I think. It was a wonderfully quiet way to spend some time together but my seat did get wet. I've heard that the Ft. Wilderness Campground has canoes - that is probably just as nice without getting wet.

People on this board probably already know about the Electric Water Pageant - if not, see: www.buildabettermousetrip.com/activity-electricwaterpageant.html

Allearsnet.com lists some neat things at the Disney resorts - See:
