looks like its going to be a great movie. what do you think? what did you think this thread was about?

:rotfl: I had to open this thread!

Seriously, I loved the other 2 movies. I hope this is as good.

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm concerned because Dustin Hoffman isn't going to be in it and Jay Roach isn't directing it.

First I heard of this. Liked the other two, but I'm not sure a third is necessary. Will have to check out the trailer.

I was really looking forward to this movie. But when I last heard of it, a few months ago, I thought it was being released in June or July. Now they're saying Christmas? Also, I thought everyone would be back including Dustin Hoffman. It just won't be the same without him.

Meh...I'll probably wait for it to show up on HBO. The first one was pretty good because of the story line, but Ben Stiller started getting on my nerves in the second one. The paranoid relationship between him and his FIL got real old, real fast for me. I think the only thing that saved that movie for me was Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand as the parents.

With Dustin out of the picture, the third will likely be a snooze so I can easily wait for it to come on TV.

Has anyone seen the Little Fockers yet?
I was wondering if it would be appropriate for my daughters ages 12 & 14.
We are hoping to see it tomorrow.

TIA

ya its a great movie seen it yesterday. there was no nudity there was a lady in her bra and panties and they showed a guy with an erection after he takes ed medicine. they didnt show him naked but they had it where his pants was sticking out.

Loved the first one, second one was just okay, but I'm still anxious to see this third one. I do hope it's good.

Heard a review on the news yesterday, and it was said to be horrible. The reviewer loved the first two, and honestly, I've never heard a more angry review, because it was said to be SO bad.

Wow, just checked rottentomatoes.com, and it got an 11% - that's bad!

It was just okay.

DH, DS, and I saw it yesterday.

To DH it was more of a $.99 rental than a $6.50/ticket (matinee price) movie.

The first 2 movies were definitely better. We laughed and laughed at them. This movie had only a few laughs.

I would save my money, unless you really really really want to see it.

"Little Fockers" was okay. The movie centered more around Gaylord's dynamics with the family than with the kids. The story line for Dustin was very weak!! As for any uncomfortable moments with any kids coming to see the movie was the more than 4 hour "situation" with De Niro, and the talk about ED and Babs adult television show. Would not bring kids under 13 to the show. There were maybe 4 good laughs in the show. Very disappointed in this one!

I saw it and have never seen the other 2 :scared1: but my mom and sister had.

It was funny to me!

Ditto on all this. I really only liked the first one.

We just saw it (my mom and I saw Fockers and DD11 and DS saw Narnia.) It was very funny, but I'm glad my 11 yo didn't watch it. There was a scene where Jack Byrnes had taken some ED medicine and the effects didn't wear off and you could see that through his pajamas and then there was some interaction regarding that dilemma involving Greg and a hypodermic needle. Maybe I'm a prude, but I can do without DD having that visual. KWIM

There was a lot of ED medicine theme humor and a really weird scene at the beginning involving a rectal procedure.

ETA...Dustin was in this picture. He didn't have a super large roll, but he played Dad Focker and was quite funny.

Saw it the other day and wasn't really impressed. I didn't think it was very funny. Lots of lag time between funny moments. Truthfully, if I had been there by myself, I probably would have walked out, I was that bored.

Saw on Wednesday (opening day). It was not that great compared to the other two movies (which I loved!). Same story line: FIL tries to get the Fockers to break up.

Same cast (including Dusting Hoffman & Barbara Streisand), just older and the humor is no longer fresh.

The movie wasn't really about the Focker kids, either. I don't understand why they named it "Little Fockers." I guess because it's a catchy title. But really, the kids were just a side story.

Save your money and wait for it come out on DVD. Not really worth it IMO.
